I was reflecting to the time back in 2008, cannot believe that it is almost 12 years since Anniversary has been released.

The 50-year anniversary is of Avalon Hill, owned by Wizards of the Coast, in turn owned by Hasbro. Also Avalon Hill had nothing to do with with any original Axis & Allies boardgames (like first and second edition Classic, published by Milton Bradley).

Actually v4 is similar to the boardgame "Spring 1942", a game issued in 2009, that followed v3-rules, but is simpler than Anniversary.

v5 is similar to "1942 2nd Edition", issued in 2012, the current basis game of A&A.

A&A 1942 Online, issued this year by Beamdog, is an online variant, basically based on the game and ruleset of 1942 2nd Edition, but with differences.

It's a A&A map. One of the earlier ones. It came out earlier this year. The computer version. Triplea World War II V4 is similar I think. Idk. i get confused by all of them.

I like it better over here too :). Not that there's anything wrong with that place but ...yea they play triplea. Mostly global 40 or a mod of it. Lots of FTF boardgamers there too. A few are playing the new 42 on steam but it's still in beta mode.

I missed the tourney link. Seems as if one is usually going on. If nothing else you should be able to get a game when the next one starts.

Other sites promoting the use of this software are just a bit further away from the actual triplea player base and maybe more board-game version centric sites.

Hey, that forum, they play the same TripleA game that we play here right?

I ask because I actually found a different Axis and Allies game years ago and it was very different and more like an arcade game and I'm sure I wouldn't find it again unless its the game for that other forum?
