<![CDATA[WAW: get c. Morocco]]>Good morning gentlemen,
maybe somebody can help me with tactics/gameplay concerning WAW. What are your strategies to get c.Morocco (and also Provence)? Both territories are crucial in defense in Gibraltar against France, UK, USA troughout game.

  • Do you get Morocco and Provence with Germany or Italy?
  • In which round do you get it and how?
  • I understand r1 Morocco is impossible, no transporters can reach it.
  • in r2 it can only be reached by German 4 tanks, 1inf, 1Bomber maximum - too little power against (then) French minimum 10inf, 1art.
  • Therefore r3-4 is the earliest, right? Against a minimum of 14inf, 1art.

R1 use germans to cut off French and limit their options: attack N Algeria. If France counterattacks, they've divided their forces, Morocco will fall more easily. The better option for France is to just ignore N Algeria. Take Provence with Italy. I do not use any transports to take Provence, they are needed elsewhere.

R2 germans take S algeria. This provides defense for the Italian troops that you will push forward to S algeria in R2. Once again, France has the option to counterattack S algeria, weakening Morocco, and once again the better play is to simply ignore. Depending on how much France has dropped in morocco, purchase 4 transports in sz 43, you should have 2 tanks, 2 art, 4 inf ready to send from here in R3. Push 3 transports to sz45 with 6 units, together with your 2 italian men+2 tanks in S algeria, you are prepared to attack morocco R3 with 18 units.

The allies can get a couple fighters to morocco potentially, be prepared to counter with your fighters if necessary.

You can now wheel around and start an all-out push for Cairo, with no other threats. I think Axis are heavily favored in WAW, if Japan is played very well.

Morocco on Tue, 11 Oct 2022 15:50:37 GMT]]>@commander in WAW there is no c. morocco. Which map did you mean? you can take E. Morocco R3 with Italy. I only use Italy + 2 german inf+tanks. Italy can drop transports in sz43 Round 2. There are other nuances but this is the key to outpacing France. I do not play low luck so R1 Provence battle has a low chance of scuttling it.
