<![CDATA[Map Making Noob Requesting Help]]>Hi, I've been working on my map for a while now,

but I haven't figured out how to get it running as a local game yet. When I select the map (no more errors) Triplea says it can't find the map and promts me to download it (I have never uploaded it). Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure I had it in the past and it was just a naming issue. Unfortunately I don't remember the solution.

I've got it in dl maps and got it to blink after changing the top name but I'm pretty sure the top name just has to match w/e the xml is and the bottom needs to match the folder.

Any suggestions ?

You labelled the xml "evw"

You may want to try relabelling the XML itself... "East_vs_West".

You need to include this line at the top of the XML.

<triplea minimumVersion="1.9"/>

You should copy and open a currently functioning map then look at what the functioning map has that yours does not. That is often how I trouble shoot.

The zipped file you put into the "Downloaded Maps" folder must be zipped as a zip file. Not a 7zip file.

Fixed. But now it lets me past the "download" prompt, yet when I click play, Triplea simply "blinks" and then does nothing.

Yet at the bottom of the XML you have named it "East vs West Alpha".

To the best of my knowledge these two names should match.

A "KeyNotFoundException" occured when trying to load the Xml file. Make sure the xml file has no errors.

I looked it over but I haven't found what the error is referring to yet.

C:\Users\Will & Yen\Documents\Axis and Allies\TripleA\maps\east_vs_west-master\map

That was where the main files and folders were located.

Then I tried here (also to no avail):

C:\Users\Will & Yen\Documents\Axis and Allies\Triplea Downloaded Maps\triplea\downloadedMaps

Here, as a zipped file formatted correctly to the best of my knowledge (as such - east_vs_west-master).

Any Ideas as to where I am going wrong?

That's precisely what I am saying. I can't get the map to run in a local game or hosting privately. No error codes, but it tries to make me download it either way. Also, yes I tried zipping it as well. I am stuck.
