@RoiEX Actually I seem to have found the problem. I had this game on a different system and forgot that system was a 32 bit system and this is a 64. So when I copied it over it seemed to conflict. As soon as I erased it and downloaded the 64 bit version its not happening. Thank you all for your input.

@Frostion I played this game a lot when it was still developing. The current version is better in all areas. At first I was angry about the Neutrals getting 2 turns since that means you can't spread out quickly or your units get destroyed. But after a couple of plays you get used to it, although I have to say the undead have a serious disadvantage in this situation. Every time the AI played the undead they were wiped out by the Neutrals and the Lionians just walked in and claimed the territory without much effort. Even with hard AI.
The dragons do seem to pop up in the same locations over and over. Even the Water dragon. Played three times and it always appeared at the bottom of the map near the Orcs. The only saving grace is the 2 turns for the neutrals. The dragons appear in one spot then vanish to another before anyone can go for them. The only problem I have seen is the neutrals placing dragons in areas without support so they are easy to capture. This happens with the Dwarves a lot. A dragon almost always ends up in their territory without protection. I once played the Dwarves and ended up with 5 dragons without much effort. Was pretty much over at that point. Will let you know if I see anything else.

I tracked their hero's a bit more and saw that they are just collecting XP but never using it. Also i never see them produce veteran or elite units with their chevrons. So pretty sure the A.I. Doesn't use that entire list.
I have been exiting the game here and there, then turning the A.I. player to human for one round to access those categories and use up their saved chevrons and XP. Then re-exiting the game and turning it back to A.I. control to get around the issue for now. Hope someone figures out a way to get the A.I. to do it itself.
But other than that i haven't come across an issue worth reporting. I also haven't played a lot in any one campaign. Furthest i got so far was my Horde campaign up to turn 16. So i haven't yet encountered a situation like someone above who had the A.I. gathering armies where they can't cross because they aren't fliers or anything. Will keep playing though.

So i have tried the game out and the A.I. turns seemed to work fine. I am playing as suggested the horde races. After the A.I. went it then asked me to pick my Orc hero's origin skills. I picked four different ones and then continued but no matter what i did i could not place the skills on the hero as it suggested i do. It just kept saying nothing else can be placed in the region my hero was standing in. So i continued the turn without placing them and then at the end of the turn it let me place them again like they were recruits instead of skills and then even though i had moved my hero into the factory location during the turn it still wouldn't let me place them so i am at a loss. No clue what i am doing wrong or right. Hope this helps.
[Open] waw1940 game is letting destroyers defend at 5
Now I am not sure if this is in every battle since i just started the game but in the top battle in the waiting list its sea zone 35 and i am attacking 2 transports 1 destroyer and 1 tboat with 2 subs. The enemy rolls its defense at 5 for some reason. i tried to read any notes on the game but there is nothing to indicate that destoyers defend at 5 against subs. I cant tell if the tboat is also defending at 5. I have included a save right before this fight. I am on a laptop running AMD 2.3 ghz with 6 gb ram on a windows 8 system. The game is at the current update. I think thats 13066 or something? waw1940germany.zip

@Cernel Oooohhhh....ok I see. Thanks for letting me know this. It would have been helpful to have that in notes or something as that changes everything. Thank you too beelee for your reply.
