ingcameroni (Allies) defeat Brennan (Axis+8). Long game, marked by unlucky dice rolls for the Axis right from the first turn. The Axis spent a lot of resources defending Africa with a naval blockade and troops in Egypt, but Russia was left unchecked for too long, and in the end the Allies' higher production led to the Axis surrender. Barca1 (Axis +9) defeated yak_mo. This was a slug fest, with multiple large scale battles. Allies secured beachheads in Western and Southern Europe. Japan's expansion was left uncontested. Moscow fell to a one, two punch. Play continued for a few more rounds until Germany was secured with Japan reinforcements. Yak_mo was very friendly and easy going. Hope to play him again soon outside the tournament.
