How do I update Triple-A from 1.9 to 2.2

All options I see only allow to install a new copy. Am I supposed to just delete the old one? How do I preserve saved games/maps?

@RyansPlace you can have the old lobby and the new lobby, just dont "overwrite" the old version, create a new version for the new lobby. it gives you a choice. but the old saves do not work in the new lobby.
