      @djabwana Yes, it gave me a pop-up option to "retreat amphibious units"

        @GenerationKILL I have never seen that in TripleA. I just tested it and a "pure" amphibious assault had no retreat option and a "mixed" amphibious assault had the option to retreat non amphibious units:

        I don't think the game ever allows units to go back on the boats (and I think this is good and what we want for our game). So the only tanks you would've been able to save had you retreated would've been the two that came from Rome. Unless that's what you've been meaning this whole time.

                  Welp, I don't see any possibility of turning this game around. You're too well entrenched and centralized for me to focus any offensive action. We might be neck and neck in PUs and TUV, but you're positioned much better on the map and I can't compete with your reinforcement chain. Italy will most likely fall this next turn, so we'll just call a victory for the Central Powers.

                    You can get better terms than that. They're war weary and their populace won't accept heavy casualties.

                          @djabwana @beelee I think the balance is pretty well laid out now. Scaling back the Bolsheviks is the last tweak we should implement. That buys Russia a couple more rounds to keep Germany occupied and USA to gather a sizable strike force. That was a good game though!
