Im too new at this game -- either start over or redo the German turn. Sea Lion was the goal but I was not aware that you could prevent the fleet with one paratrooper hahahahaha

I dont really care either way - start over or give the Sea Lion a go.
EDIT BETTER IDEA, let's try sea lion anyway. This way we can learn what works and what does not. Maybe moving the fleet to northern england will work !

@johnnycat If you want to try the sea lion, feel free to edit the para to Paris, placing the IPCs as infantry there, and editing down the UK IPCs
This will let you get the boats out at least - still not the most fun situation for Germany

@johnnycat Yeah, it's very unforgiving, compaired to the original version.
It's hard to come back from not taking France in G1, in my friend group we always roll Paris first so that we don't have to reset the whole game board
(FYI I wasn't sure your target - London or Leningrad hence the USSR destroyer)

@Alexander I have been playing with guys in Europe getting me ready for the tourneys this fall.
And they ALWAYS do Sea Lion if the UK is left "undefended" like you had it. So I just wanted to try it for fun. I didn't realize that 1 para could close the fleet.
Anyway the game we were doing was far better and I had the quick capture of UK been successful I would have suggested we go back to G3 and this time NOT buy the boats.
BTW that move to let Italy take Paris is a key strategy that I rather like to use often.

Like I said, I want to learn as much as I can before the tourneys so little tricks like that are great to learn so thanks for that. I had no idea of that trick with the 1 para. And we cannot do a northern UK version either now.
So what you want to do ? Start a new game or let me redo G3 with either a sealion operation that doesn't get stumped by a 1-inf move or redo G3 with the original long game in mind ?

@johnnycat I'd like to keep the current game, or at least an "alternate history" of it as I'll be leaving in about a week and won't have a computer while gone - so not much point starting a new one now.
Here's the other move that I was considering - I think London should hold with the Home Defense rules, and the fact you'll need to divert much of the air force to destroy the navy (in the chance that I scramble based on your proposed combat).

Also, as a heads up - I could also have blocked Sea Lion by sacrificing the Royal Navy by blocking SZ112 but that would not be an honurable way to use a battleship

Ok good pointsI suggest I redo German 2 (take 2) and proceed with sea lion but this time not letting one inf guy block the entire fleet, lol
Then we can test your theory because I feel uk will fall easy given the current diversion of too many forces to India. We just see who is correct. All fun.
Then we redo a regular game from German turn 2 (take 3) and we take our time for weeks and maybe months. Doing a long game.

Just to be clear - I really did NOT want to disrupt our fine game - it's just that for the tournaments I felt I needed to work out these Sea Lion options just to learn.Whether it works or not I still propose we continue that game we had, or start over if you want, at G2 in order to play out a "proper" game that lasts well into turns 12-18....
So thank you for accommodating me on this.
