I have some questions about modding using the alagaesia map as a base.
As the title suggests, I've upped the diceSides to 12 for greater mix in modifiers and whatnot. This seems to be working properly w/o issue. But looking at XOB, that entry has "Setting diceSides to a number other than 6 can result in unexpected behavior." However, "Age of Tribes" (that uses a d12) seems rock solid. Is this still true in some way?
I'm also getting varied/missing items in the mouseover blurb balloon on units I've modified. So if you mouse over "urgal", for example, it'll list "1 toughness" but if I give one toughness to a new unit with a copy/paste w/modified unit string, it'll actually list the effect in longform. Also seems to be working properly, but setting off alarm bells.
On some units I'm giving 2 hps, but when I mouseover it doesn't show the hps vs other maps I've seen. (Test battles show they do indeed seem to have 2 hitpoints.) It seems I'm missing something simple on the mouseover thing.
Along the lines of multiple hps, it seems the first png is (unit)_hit, but what is it for more hps than 2? As I'm writing this, I'm thinking I may be able to test for myself in a sample battle with warning popups but if someone has the answer right off it's appreciated.

Welcome to the forums as its your first post.
In the past I have had no problems when changing diceSides. So I dont think its a problem anymore.
You will need to pair/match your changes in the xml also in tooltips.properties file

@thedog tooltips.properties is what I was missing.
I'll have to review that map further. Looking right off, arena has a very accessible xml file.
