@beelee Okay got it on fortifications. Took a long time for him to make his turn. We are amazed at the strategies you and VF are using. They are both new to us and as such I think we are not countering in the best way. But that's what makes HRE so exceptional is how there are so many different strategies and ways to win.

Also, for placing Fctry upgrades, they place during first place. So the Undg in Moscow gets placed first phase and technically so should the Hvy Undg at same time, but triplea won't allow it.You can place it 2nd place but it won't give you the two extra placements. So a couple ways to do it. Edit an Undg before placing, then place both Undg upgrades and remove the extra Undg or edit in a minor somewhere and place the two extra dudes there and place Hvy Undg 2nd place.
You just need to manipulate it a bit until you get desired result. In case MPE was uncertain of the process, he can refund the Hvy Undg or place the 3 bucks worth somewhere, as he has plenty of placement capacity at this time and doesn't really need this turn anyway since he didn't have 12 units to place.
A reminder on moving Fctrys, 1 Rail per 1 TTy and 2 TTy move max. Russia had an extra Rail, so no big deal. Just for future reference.

@beelee Thanks for the offer but I will leave it at 1 infantry. At this point, I believe we will not beat either you or VF as we were completely bamboozled by your strategies. and found out we were handling some rules incorrectly. The biggest one is we did not know you had to clear a sea zone before any ships can shore bombard. But that's okay, this is our first time playing somebody other than on the board with each other. We're going to play out both of them but at this point, I have to admit we are playing superior opponents. Kind of what France felt after panzers started rolling in through the Ardennes in 1940.

To be clear, I think we would not have won anyway without the rule issues due to both of you just being very clever. That just accelerated the inevitable. But I am glad we are getting corrected on the clearing sea zones and upgrading factories. Also learning about escorts as we never really understood how to use them while you guys do.

Also don't worry about the strategies, it's actually a very good thing to get baffled by an opponent's strategy because that is the most efficient way to improve. I am sure you and your son will develop counter strategies after a couple of games, or even develop your own bamboozling strategies! Look at Panzerstahl-helm, he was new too at first but recently he beat both of us with a surprise Sea Lion!

Yea you guys picking it up quick. It usually takes 2-3 games to get comfortable with it. Just moving in and out of the Boxes, using edit when required etc ... and we're all still learning all the time
I beat Victory and Panzer there first games and now they routinely beat me lol Although Victory and the IJN had an intelligence failure last gameAnother one to remember, is LCVs get blocked by Trprts. And the "Takeover of Italy" is usually brutal no matter what

Yea Hvy BBs will fire twice on Bombard no matter how many units attacking. No biggie on N Italy attack, as you should win anyways.I would move the CA so he can't fire and then move him back in NCM. Can't always do it. Sometimes gotta hand roll. I can't remember if edit works during Bombard. I don't think so.

Anyway, I bought 3 Inf instead of Paras, so I edited those during place and corrected the PU level.
Take over doesn't count the TTys or do Blockade damage, so rolled 4 dice for the two Subs and Blockade was -1
TTys added up to 12 +3 for 15 +5 saved -1 for Blockade so 19 total.
So most of the stuff will auto change but some upgraded Facilities might not. I think Victory updated most of that though.
On Germany's turn, you have to manually transfer the PUs from Italy to G and G will pay the 5 bucks.
