Global 40 Expansion UHD Boxes

Update to 2.44

Since the dice server down been working on the 1939 mod

lol
@Panzerstahl-Helm-0 I have 3 U-boats starting in 112. Maybe 2 would be better ? Surely the Kriegsmarine had some boats in the Atlantic before they attacked Poland.
Well not a big deal. They auto move to there Early 1940 positions so it doesn't affect the mod. I just thought it would look cooler if they started closer to home

heh heh It's actually kinda cool to watch them move.

Update to 2.52

@Panzerstahl-Helm-0 if you haven't started your game with Alexander or is still early, you should switch to this one.
What happened was, I wanted the Game Option to be turned on for the Air Trprt to be able to be selected during Total War. Actually, all the Total War Units but only had done A Trprt.
I did the opposite lol

Next Big update I will make all the Total War Units need to be turned on in Game Options ( they all are by default ) in order to buy them. Otherwise, if you turn off the option it'll still show up once Total War happens.
Just a heads up

Why are the Dutch, Mongolians, Neutrals etcetera, list as 'Human'? They should be 'DoesNothing' because there are no sequence/steps under gamePlay. Also, they should be hidden.
<player name="Dutch" optional="true" defaultType="DoesNothing" isHidden="true"/> <player name="Mongolians" optional="true" defaultType="DoesNothing" isHidden="true"/> <player name="Neutral_Axis" optional="true" defaultType="DoesNothing" isHidden="true"/> <player name="Neutral_Allies" optional="true" defaultType="DoesNothing" isHidden="true"/> <player name="Neutral_True" optional="true" defaultType="DoesNothing" isHidden="true"/>It would be nice to have "isHiddenPlayersTad" and "isHiddenTechTad". One can only hope.
Also, all their tech can be removed.
And what's up with "Changer"? Is that player still needed?Cheers...
-
heh heh Idk
I just used Veqryn's WWII Global 40 as the template.Changer is needed. He controls the Landmines. Has control of the TimeTable too I think and a couple other things. Can't remember

Oh yea, he triggers a buncha stuff. Could probably have the Germans do most of it.Idk if "Does Nothing" affects the Neutrals and Mongols from being able to use edit. The Mongols will actually trigger in some situations and the Neutrals as well I think.
-
There are no steps for these players. They cannot declare war, move, attack, purchase or collect income. All they can do is defend. Only casualties would be selected by AI, nothing else should change.
But to each their own.Cheers...

hi!
found this thread and...
I played Global1940 many times, can someone please tell me the main differences of this UHD boxes version ?
A dedicated manual would be awesomne but even a post listing all the differences would be greatThanks

Hi malmessi
Here is a link to the rulebook https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jI_1JdIC-1KiTihBICJAbtX3GpVYnNgf/view
and this is The Captain's thread at the other site https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/37535/the-captain-s-global-1940-house-rules-collection
You want the first link there. Some of the other ones are helpful too. If using triplea it requires a lot of edit, I'd say triplea still does 80-90% of it though.
We've found after 2-3 games it becomes second nature. It' quite a bit more complex but most who have played enjoy it and don't even really play OOB anymore

If you like G40 I think you will love this

@beelee
Wow, impressive manual but so hard...
I do not even understood how to use StrRailMov...
In TotalWorldWar it requires rail and trains, here.... -
yea there's a lot going on
I will post a example of Rail. -
@beelee
Thx -

So we'll use SSR here. In NCM you click on one of the Rail Units and move it to where you wanna go. In this case we'll go to Sakha

We're gonna move a AA Gun. We click on Rail again and the AA Gun and move it to where we want. Caucasus in this example

SSR Rail can go to any original Soviet TTy and the E one ( Europe ) in Europe as well as long as you have an unbroken line of communication between the two spots.
Triplea enforces this correctly. What it doesn't do is prevent using the Rail to move into newly conquered TTys or if those TTys would open up a uninterrupted route.
It also allows you to use them more than once. So that part is Player Enforced. Triplea usually places them in the Capital but UK is in S Africa and JPN is in China.
If you have a legal move but triplea is blocking it e.g. you wanna rail some dudes in India but Jordan is Under Axis control, then you have to use edit "Perform Move or Other Action" and it will bypass the block.

@beelee
ah ok, rail icon is required ! I was missing, in TWW rail allows train movement so you need a train too.
In my new game there were no rail icons so I was not ableyes I tried using the rail and TripleA allows me to use it 3 o 4 times, PlEnfRule ok
thx
