        WOW! Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for. America had a huge victory liberating Tuscany, smashing through the Austrian ranks outside Rome to the tune of a +88 battle score.

        However, the tank divisions were heavily damaged and had no infantry or fortifications to protected them. German troops quickly counter-attacked and took back Tuscany with a battle score of ... you guessed it ... +88.

        Germany broke through the English Channel, hoping to disrupt the Atlantic convoys once and for all.

            @beelee Hahaha thanks, BUT these were all @GenerationKILL 's tanks. I haven't built a single one this game- in fact, I never do, I'm not a believer (despite the fact that they are 2 hitpoint and 4 offense in our game)

                Here's Patton in WWI, only this time he went down in glory a little earlier than expected......outlived by the Red Barron I guess.
                John your strategy has been mountains of troops supported by Zeppelins, which I might add, won't be an option next game due to unit adjustments. You might want to start warming up to armor a little more 😉

                      @GenerationKILL Ha- I saw this pic but thought it was a french tank. Whoops.

                      Still, plain infantry are the best way to buy attack, defense and hit points per dollar, even without our currently overpowered Zeppelins. But I'm eager to see what others think of the armor-or-not debate once they play!

                        @djabwana It is a French tank. The US didn't have any tank designs of their own in WWI so they bought hundreds of Renault tanks from the French Army.

                        Tanks in mass are the perfect offensive steamroller, you just have to have enough of them, if you can afford it......and don't leave them vulnerable to the counterattack......like I did.
                        I was actually going to retreat them back to the ships before all your units were killed, leaving ideally only 1-2 enemies left, but I miss-calculated and overshot

                                  @GenerationKILL I have never seen that in TripleA. I just tested it and a "pure" amphibious assault had no retreat option and a "mixed" amphibious assault had the option to retreat non amphibious units:

                                  I don't think the game ever allows units to go back on the boats (and I think this is good and what we want for our game). So the only tanks you would've been able to save had you retreated would've been the two that came from Rome. Unless that's what you've been meaning this whole time.

                                            Welp, I don't see any possibility of turning this game around. You're too well entrenched and centralized for me to focus any offensive action. We might be neck and neck in PUs and TUV, but you're positioned much better on the map and I can't compete with your reinforcement chain. Italy will most likely fall this next turn, so we'll just call a victory for the Central Powers.
