figured out how post the dice stats:

Combat Hit Differential Summary :

Italy regular : -0.42
Germany AntiAircraftGun : -0.08
Germany regular : -1.83
Russia regular : 1.83

click the view turn summary, turns out there is a bug that this doesnt show up unless you check and/or then uncheck include overall dice stats

Fwiw, I don't get dice stats when I save the game in a middle of a turn. E.g. asking for a scramble or OOL

i feel like that’s at least a reasonable amount of warning, honestly i think at least 3 months would be ideal as some folks have games that go kinda slow.

@ubernaut This dice server issue seems big enough to consider switching to a current release that runs on the new one. Iirc @lafayette was confident that triplea versions 2.7 and onwards should be capable of handling save files from older versions. I think that at the rate this game is going, we are likely going to be at it for so long that we'll eventually be the only ones using and justifiably paying for the old server.

I hope that trying to switch will reveal any issues quickly, so we could switch back if necessary.

That's my opinion on the issue. What do you think?

@Nothingtoseehere i dont believe the marti issue is actually resolved by the current version but maybe i’m being slow here would potentially resolve the lobby issues but let’s go offline with that stuff dont want to side track the thread

@ubernaut I recently downloaded the then-current version and just looked at PBEM in there. When you click Register, it sends you to the new server.
So, as far as I can tell, it resolves the " using-the-old-server" issue. I didn't test if it works with our current email provider.

it seems as if this still doesnt resolve the marti issue guess maybe the new server isnt up yet?

@ubernaut Ah, didn't read the newest posts in the other thread. Did that now, and it seems you are right that the new server is still a bit shaky at this point.

@ubernaut Considering that, and that the old MARTI Server hasn't been shut down yet, we should probably stick with the old setup until they get the new one stable enough.

@ubernaut Ok, took care of rolling for tech and (not) rolling diplomacy. I thought enough about my turn to decide those, but not enough to be completely decided on combat moves.
