I think it's time to surrender. Well played. Let's play another one.

@victoryfirst Thank you. Japan was done in by the bad dice on the BEN battle in the very first turn. Never had a chance to help.

OK, do we formally end this one, or just restart with the same number?

my first bid is 11 for the Allies. once again, Tech comes in after the turn that achieves it.

Yes, it was a tough game for Japan. Also I think I made some mistakes with Axis Europe too. Your Allied strategy was excellent. I wanted to become experienced in AA 1942 and it looks like I've stumbled across a great player that can help me.

You can take Allies with +11. Normally I'd like to switch sides after every game however I think the Axis have an advantage in this game, so I don't think +11 will be enough for the Allies to balance it out. I want to see if that's true. After that we can probably switch so that we are not playing the same sides over and over again.

@victoryfirst ok. The Axis truly do have an Advantage here, just a question of how much.

It would be great to protect the UK fleet in BEN, loved having it last game. But I don't think just a destroyer would be enough.

So, Rtl in karelia, 2 inf in Cauc.

and yeah, I am kind of old. I still have the Axis & Allies FIRST Edition

Ah, so you play Classic too? Would you be interested in a game of Classic? Classic has recently been added to the League on the A&A forum. It currently consists of 8 players but we are looking for more. Every player will have an ELO value, and the result of games will affect your rating.

We can also play some friendly games first if you prefer.

@victoryfirst Sure, sign me up for the league.

this is a busy early week, so a classis game later would be fun.

Classic is my least favorite of the 3 whole world games. It always seems to come down to TECH and either HB or Industrial discount.

I have been away from A&A for 4-5 years. Used to be very active in several PBEM clubs that no longer exist.

I am in FL USA, where are you?

@leemorrison Excellent! So cool to have you in. I'm going to tell the guys on the A&A forum you are interested in joining.

No worries, we have calibrated Classic in a way that makes it very fun to play (no special rules or anything, just having the correct optional rules from the rulebook selected makes it a lot better).

We have just started a tournament that we plan to organize yearly with 8 people (similar to the Play-Offs from the G40 League). Unfortunately you cannot participate in that until next year, however you can play as many ranked games as you want in the league thread against ANY opponent. These are like friendly matches in soccer but they still count for ELO points, while the tournament is like the World Cup (also ranked matches but more in a tournament style, just for fun).

We all are fanatic players so lots of fun is guarenteed. 3 months ago I have never played a game of Classic, but now I tried it and I like it a lot.

Sure, no problem. I'll be around here for a while, just hit me up when ready.

I'm from The Netherlands. I am a rookie player that fell in love with A&A 6 years ago when I was a kid. Play several versions, my favorites are Anniversary, Classic (as of recently), and the G40 House Rules Expansion from The Captain (which is based on G40 but adds tons of new units, rules and other cool things. You should try it out one day, it's imo the best experience in A&A wargaming you can get).
