      Hi Cat

      Send @Trout the email you used to register and he will set up the game by filling in your emails.

      Then when he posts a save, it will automatically fill in the required information when you select "PBEM".

      You will want to first load the save and look at it in "Local Game" mode. Then you can go through your turn until you are ready to play it for real 🙂

      If you have any doubts, just save after CM and before Combat. That way things can be adjusted.

      You're gonna dig it 🙂

      Also we go full on Baptist mode with all "Options" on for the total immersion experience. 🙂

      You can check with Trout to make sure though 🙂

        @johnnycat Hey Good Morning! I tried to start the game but it still gave me the error of your email address not being registered. Maybe it takes some time to process through?? When we start playing, it will be on Game Version 2.5.2. I usually post games on this forum but will send my turns as Play By Email (PBEM), as it is easier to enter. For that, you just put my email in the TO line and yours in the CC line. I will send you my gaming email address in chat after I post my turn.

        When I post my turn, it will have a link that you just click on to pull up the map and do your turn.

          email should register immediately. Must be a different one or there still some trouble from when i tried to load your save earlier.

          I'm gonna try and load your emails and just do changers turn and see if it works.

          @JohnnyCat there is a validation link marti sends too, so make sure you activated it.

                    johnnycat2@proton.me is the email that finally worked for the Marti dice roller.

                    But a solution to why the game does not load @trout's saved game without these errors is a mystery to me.

                      @johnnycat Happy Thanksgiving JC! Hope you enjoyed Hawaii. I am back in my TX saddle now and I downloaded TripleA 14962. So hopefully third time will work out. All in all, my G1 went well ..... for you! I got the better of you in the Paris battle but you actually beat me back from taking Normandy, forced me back from Yugoslavia, and all of your ships got a hit in the SZ 111 battle. Anyway, if we got all of the kinks worked out now. Then you are up with your Soviet comrades.

                          @johnnycat Not only that but I found another bug in this game since I had nothing to do over the holiday : The UK bomber than is located in the boxes above the board survives to bomb Germany even if Germany pulls off a successful Operation Sea Lion.

                          One day we will play this game.

                            @johnnycat Wow! Need Beelee to figure out the issue now. I loaded TripleA 2.7.14962 which he believes should fix the issue. Looks like you are on 15256. Do you want to try to load that? If so, I think this link will do it

                              Yea @JohnnyCat you need to use 14962. That's the one we were using in the test. You can have multiple engine versions, just need to use the same one as Trout and I until they get it all sorted.

                              I need to re dl 14962 again as I deleted it when I was trying to get into the new lobby.

                              What Bmbr are you talking about ?

                                  @beelee SO I notice that when I play this game solo against the computer it buys a TON of naval mines and puts them on the land...

                                  And despite taking all of the UK in a daring nazi operation early on, for something like 10 turns (until the AA got it) the UK bomber located on the squares at the top of the game board, kept bombing Berlin.

                                  So how do we even use those squares? OH NEVER MIND I will read the rules, hahaha

                                  Anyway it's exciting to get this to run now. Tho sexy fems in grass skirts will definitely beat watching NFL... any maybe even playing this game, lol.

                                    Yea I've never played it against the computer. I'm sure it does all sorts of nutted up stuff.

                                    Yea I just fired up Trout's save. As long as you use 14962 it'll fire for you.

                                    I suggest giving the triplea Game Notes a heavy read. They explain it pretty well and have a window with the Captain's rules handy too.

                                    It's a complex mod and requires a lot of edit use 🙂 It'll take a bit to get the hang of it. Not everyone likes it 🙂

                                      @johnnycat Good morning Mr. Cat! Okay, looks like we are off and running now as I was able to open your R1 file without issue. I will be beyond impressed if this game becomes anything other than a learner's game as playing via Triple A is a learn by doing exercise. With that in mind, a few things for your R1:

                                      1. Looks like you purchased 11 infantry and 1 arty but they are not placed yet. So need to repost after placement.
                                      2. If you want to go into Edit Mode and change one of the infantry to an elite infantry that's okay with me. Elite infantry hit double on attack & defense and still only cost $3. Basically the best bang for your buck of any unit. So in HRE, it becomes almost standard play to always build an elite infantry each turn. They are limited though in that you can only buy 1 each turn, only place them in the capitol, and not have more than 1 per territory.
                                      3. Last thing is looks like you intended to post an edited R1 but it came across as .txt. Just FYI

                                      But I was able to open the file so looks like we can play it through now 👍

                                          I think Trout thought your Turn Summary was a edited save.

                                          How I do it is click on Turn Summary, then ctrl a that window and then ctrl c. You can then paste it into the game thread post.

                                          Your way works too. It's just a one click open 🙂

                                            @johnnycat Yep. Redoing more than okay. There are so many cool house rules in this game that it's hard to remember all of them. The five that seem to matter the most in the R1 turn are:

                                            1. Elite infantry buy
                                            2. Consider paratroopers. Sometimes a war of paratroopers and LCV's erupts over the Black Sea. Soviets can build paras but not Landing Craft. Not necessary for you to purchase but just wanted to let you know so if/when you play the dudes who know this game well such as Beelee or Panzer you will be prepared for their shenanigans 🙂
                                            3. Many folks like to build a Commissar on R1 to form their 1st Army. Again just a thought.
                                            4. Consider land mines. Not everyone buys them but many buy at least some for the early Soviet turns as they only cost 1 but can blow up an infantry which costs the other guy 3. Assuming those Nazis do attack Mother Russia at some point.
                                            5. Strategic Rail Movement. Soviets can move three units anywhere within their vast territory each turn which is very handy indeed to remember.

                                            There are others too but sharing the usual suspects to get you started.
