EXP G40 Game 2 Trout vs. JohnnyCat
-
January 22, 2026
Game 1 just ended in a surprising and unplanned economic victory for the allies.
This time we switching sides and Cat gets to play The Bad Guys for his first time.
Good luck to all and may the dice gods roll favorably every time.
-
@johnnycat Yes, roll favorably for me! Post your G1 sir and may the games begin or whatever those Roman gladiators would say before fighting

heh heh
yea I've been in more than one game where Economic Victory has crept in unexpected. One more thing a person needs to pay attention to when it gets close. Especially as triplea doesn't count the Increased Pacific Islands.
Guy almost needs a General Staff

@trout
I’m pretty sure they said:HEIL HITLER
-
@johnnycat Hey JC. Just a reminder since you have mega skills but are still learning. If you attack Churchill's boats in SZs surrounding UK on G1, let me know so I can make a scramble decision before you start your combat rolls.
-
@trout of course
I’m still considering leaving France alive.
And still considering how to start. I’ll get this turn tonight.
-
@johnnycat No worries. If you don't get to it tonight, no biggie. I have had games where I wasn't able to post for several days. I have some other games going right now anyway. I have heard people talk about starting Barb on G1 instead of annihilating France but have never played against somebody who did it. So would be a fun game for me if you did. I have no idea how it turns out. I just know that it has been done by others.
-
Okidoki, here is me trying to run the Bad Guys. So can your British fighters scramble against my subs? I guess so if you have a destroyer right?
Anyway, there are many scramble options I guess, so what ya gonna do Mr. Church Hill ?
-
@johnnycat Max Scramble SZ 110. No Scramble for the others
-
@johnnycat For Order of Loss on the 110 battle. As follows:
- damage the Batt
- cruisers
- kill the Batt
- French fighter
- UK fighters
-
@trout OK my first German Turn 1 is complete. And there is not much to say.

Hi Cat
It's helpful if you post a screenshot of the scramble area as well as the save. Then one can make a quick decision with out downloading and uploading the save.
Although sometimes you will want to see what the entire turn did before making a decision also.
-
@beelee ok. I’ll do that. Thanks. that’s actually a great ideal.
-
@johnnycat Looks like you are conducting winter training exercises in Finland. Fine duty for people of the Fatherland. Just a peaceful R1 turn from the Communists

scramble to the bottom of the ocean? I would assume no but I guess I gotta ask right?
-
you should post the save too so he can see what other attacks, if any, you did.
Probably doesn't matter in this case but sometimes it will

Edit
Remember to take Transports as casualties last. That is Player Enforced -
@beelee yes of course. Actually I took a photo of the map but the file was too large
Now I’m driving
-
oh ? The picture showed up for me but yea don't respond while driving
Especially if on the I 5 Battlezone
-
@beelee No scramble- playing you is a lot of fun. Your strategies are all new to me. Panzer is a player similar to you in that way. Always springing surprises on me!!
-
@trout surprise? Dude I think I’m doing the only thing possible.
These opening moves seem similar to chess. In chess One either pushes the kings pawn two squares or the queen pawn.
Anything else is in the 1 percent. And Japan 1 seems like very little options. I guess I should study more games.
