@johnnycat Aahhh! I screwed up and didn't swap the tank etc. So to be fair you can kill one of my carrier-based before you attack and I won't replace it with one of the air units in Cali. I will live with that since the mistake was my fault and I don't think it will impact your counter attack too much anyway

@trout Hahaha. OK mate - well I just figured I would take it back And I saw you transports to the Philippines so not sure about that
But anyway I actually enjoy playing games out on the fringes. So I still think I will get Japan back and keep it for a long while making this game more interesting.
I will try to keep this fun. And certainly the next game will be.
But I will tell you now that I enjoy the playing more than the winning. So I will keep looking for ways to keep the game interesting versus quick wins

@johnnycat What!!! At the rate you are learning this game, I may beat you once or twice more and then never again for the rest of my life. I think our record against each other is 1-1 now as Game 2 was not really a game at all. So we can play this out until you try to retake Tokyo or start another one. I will agree to let you play Axis again if you want. Also, if you want to upgrade to 2.5.5 which is the current map, that will give you some more dastardly Nazi toys called Self-Propelled Artillery, Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft, and Naval Commanders. The Naval Commanders is something that Japan gets also.

@trout OK well let's not bother any more on this one. I would call it a success in that I got to really learn all that upper boxes stuff.

Actually I haven't added the Self Propelled AA yet

@JohnnyCat Yea it's best to learn the game as is. The Danish A&A Association has over a thousand games played, with 25 core members who are ex military, intellectuals, academics, historians, heads of business, tradesman and just wargame enthusiasts.
They have documented every game played. They pretty much have it crunched out pretty tight. If anything, there may be a slight axis advantage.
