      Hello!

      I am very interested in having a copy printed of The Rising Sun. I've found this to be a very fun version of our favorite WWII board game. How would one go about getting a high resolution copy of this map or contacting the developer (Sieg?) to request one. I would certainly be willing to pay for the rights if that is a requirement. Hope this question isn't too newbie, I am very new to TA but instantly fell in love with this map!

      Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

        @plasticknight Open TripleA and click "Map Creator Tools". Then click on "Other: Optional Things". Then click on "Run Tile Image Reconstructor" and follow the instructions. This will create a single file of the map. You should be able to print that file out as desired.

          @rogercooper That will give him either the base map image or the relief map image, not the actual view of the map. Besides, this is practically map-making: I understand here we have a user rather than a map-maker.

          @PlasticKnight

          • Start TripleA.
          • Select a Game: The Rising Sun.
          • Start Local Game.
          • Play.
          • View/Show Units: off.
          • Export/Export Gameboard Picture.

          Unfortunately, this will also write the game name and the current round on the upper-left corner of the map. There is a way to avoid this, but it requires modifying a file in the map folder.

          So I don't believe there is currently a way for a user to get a clean map image, but my steps should almost do that.

          I don't think there is a picture of this map stored anywhere accessible and don't think anyone has any ideas about copyrights or where the map-maker in question is, but I'm fairly certain nobody is going to sue you...
