Automated Host Question

Hello there, I'm quite new to Triple A and I'm wondering if there is a way to make use of ai factions in an Atomated Game with a friend. (we don't wanna control half the factions each)

@hamzeh-hammad Currently, there isn't. To use AI in a MP game, one of you need to host instead of using a bot.

Dang, is there a possibility of it becoming a thing? As the task of getting the ability to host is quite horrific in Linux. And there just isn't enough players to fill up a game to have a different feel (2-3 max tbh)

@hamzeh-hammad Its unlikely in the near term as the problem is that the AI takes lots of memory/CPU and we host multiple bots on the same server. We'd have to either have certain bots that are beefier/isolated to support AI or have all the servers like that.
There are definitely a decent number of 3+ player MP games but depends what day/time you tend to login.

I like to multi on weekends and games that can be completed within a marathon day. Or if we know each other, we schedule to continue them if they are really worth it.

I'd be delighted to join some Multi games in the near future (I seem to enjoy lotr, ww2 and some others)How long would a game usually take btw (a full player one I mean)

Depends on the map and whos playing. But a 4 player of suitable games can be completed in 8hrs if no big delays. However they can go much longer on occasion.
