Casualty menu requires spacebar?

Does every casualty acceptance and exiting of the battle menu require the space are on Mac?
I tried switching the settings in the menu, but I didn't notice a change.
I was hoping to play the game entirely via mouse.

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
