I can't open it either. What triplea engine version are you using
use 14962 the new ones don't work or whatever one you were using your last game.
If you haven't changed versions, then it's a different problem.

@johnnycat I am on 14966. I don't think it matters if you are on the exact same one as me. I have map version 2.5.2 and 2.5.3 so maybe that is what he was referring to?? Anyway, Beelee is the expert in these kinds of things - not me

yea so the newest ones are under active construction. They're good for testing but for playing agame you should use the last one that worked for you.
You can have multiple tripleas installed. There was a post just today or yesterday about how to do it with mac. I'll link in a bit.
Go to main page and download triplea and then prerelease. It'll take you here https://github.com/triplea-game/triplea/releases/
then you can scroll back or search for 14962 unless you remember the last one you had. 15330 is my latest pre but I can't remember if it works.

What Game version are you using ? 2.54 is latest and I suggest you guys use that but if you still on the last one don't sweat it and roll some dice

yea Game version should be OK. It's the triplea engine version most likely.

Although 2.54 probably won't work if you have 2.53 and that's what he made it with but I tried in both and got same error -

2.53 and 2.54 are "game versions" of the mod. 2.7+14962 is the triplea "engine version"

@beelee I see - well I don't see how I could get a older game version since I just get it automagically from TripleA.
Anyway I am not sure what to do now.

when you first start triplea what version do you have ? this shows 14962

@beelee This is the tripleA engine that I already have
I downloaded and installed it again at another location just for kicks... no change.

And why is the game version so close to the engine version, hahahaha. First thing I would change...
But on the Mac I cannot get that window to show up unless I save, close, then open the save
AND I STILL DONT SEE game version and numbers like 2.5 anywhere

so you are on 14962. That is not the problem then. My guess would be the different location/path Idk what it's called that you changed is the problem then. i dk how to fix that.
Just reverse what you did is my suggestion. i can help no further other tahn to say uninstall it completely and then reinstall

Please tell me where I can see game version numbers of 2.5 or 2.6 ???
Also I did not "change" anything. I just got some new computers and put triplea on it. this stuff cannot possibly be this difficult so I'm guessing there is something easy like synching the game version numbers - but I cannot find how to even show the game version numbers
