Global Dominance

@hepps A material is a resource. I am glad that you didn't shade them similar. Since I know the challenges was directed at my eyesight
-
@prastle You were only part of the equation.... there is another who apparently has difficulty distinguishing units.
-
I just completed a slightly altered version for these resources...
Since the PU, Steel and Fuel will not be usable in the same way as materials.... I want to create better distinction between them. The above is a prototype design... I tested it against all the colours used within the map and it seems to have a good impact on making them easily identifiable.
Thoughts? Feedback?
-
@hepps "May the glowing FORCE! be with them..."
-
@prastle I'm not clear... are you mocking me? Or saying you would prefer the glow to distinguish the commodities from the materials?
-
@hepps I am saying they look lovely!
-
So how do commodities function? Do they give super powers. hehe. They look like Nazi treasure. Nice job.
-
@general_zod The resources (a.k.a. commodities) are purchasable units. These units need to be moved to an allies predetermined L&L (lend & Lease) and/or T.C. (Trade Center) territories where they will turn back into actual resources for the receiving nation.
No more hypothetical support... now if the U.S. is going to support Britain... they are going to have fill transports with the raw materials and sail them there.
All part of the grand scheme to make the battle for the worlds oceans all that much more citical.
-
Cool, I wanted to try something similar for UK in bw3 fs. Much more realistic.
-
@general_zod He is making battle of Atlantic real again GZ! OMG my Head Hurts!
-
@prastle LMAO!
-
@hepps I HATE it when u enjoy this .... But I still love you
-
Are you gonna use any limitations on manpower or army sizes, recruitments etc..
-
@general_zod there will be some controls, but none will be hard and fast. I am not interested in set caps or strict limitations.
-
Just a quick follow up. Little design change to further distinguish the Materials from the tradable Commodities.

In the face of the disturbing reports (willingly provided by the O.S.S.) of the horrors being perpetuated across Europe, Oscar Gustaf Adolf King of Sweden mobilizes his armed forces to execute early strikes on the soft flanks of the Reich-land. These surprise attacks are meant to disrupt German supply-lines and divert already stretched army groups in preparation of Allied invasions in Western Europe and expected offensives from the ever growing Russian army.
Now cut off from the valuable steel Hitler is faced with fighting a three front war without the resources he desperately needs... 1000 years of rule may be cut very short.
-
@hepps Gotta love the nice Sweden blue. The island outline for Gotland/Oland appears to be more similar to the TWW style. Did you end up changing your mind on that?
-
@redrum The Swedish blue is nice.
No the island outlines are still planned to be the more subtle variation... this was just lifted from one of the first drafts of the look & feel experiments. Not to worry.
-
@redrum Now can you envision the next step in the evolution as all those commodities need to get to their destinations....
-
@hepps can we add a stock market like supremacy?
