Ban Appeal
-
Hello there, I would like to make an appeal on my ban. The Ban ID is as follows:
49b5aa8c-01a7-4273-9372-977f745204c6I was never given a warning, I was just immediately banned while in a game with my friends. If there are any questions regarding the specific situation I would be happy to answer them. In all, I just want to be able to play with my friends on my main computer, but am unable to because of this ban. Thanks.

@yakubianpatmos While this thing gets sorted out, I'll let you know that the ban (as far as I know) is only for the lobby and its automated hosts, not for TripleA in general, so you should still be able to play with whoever you want as long as one of you can host. The one hosting should use "Host Networked Game" and somehow communicate the IP and Port which he/she is using, and the other ones may connect to it by using "Connect to Networked Game".

@yakubianpatmos
@Theodore3 months was too much. 3 days is correct. Don't use racial slurs again. Please no politics, stay respectful, be welcoming, have fun.

@dany Thank you I did a funny that was neither funny nor necessary and will not do anything of the sort again.

I was banned for 60 days without any proper reason as well. It's a common problem.

banning people for such a long time used to be a democratic process, multiple offfences and more then 1 mod confirimg these offences could in worst cases give a longtime ban
such long bans makes very sure that some people wont come back, and should not be given so easaly since AAA needs more players!
these days either by mistake or by cowboy it happens too often, i see a guy(regular) get banned for having a name that resembles gaza no clue whats offencive to that or a 90 day to someone saying a bad word.

This topic has been opened by @YakubianPatmos for a specific purpose, already sorted out, and anything else (whether somehow related or not) is therefore off topic.
In the specific case, @YakubianPatmos himself/herself admitted that he/she was in violation of the rules, and it looks to me (based on information not publicly available) that he/she certainly was (for more than just a slur), and now he/she is not banned any longer anyway.
To be clear, this is not a case of someone being banned without any proper reason: the ban has been confirmed but reduced in length so that it has already expired, so there's nothing left to do here.
I'm locking this Topic.
(If anyone believes that anything else should be discussed, feel free to open a new topic.)
