The World Championship Series #1 will begin soon!
Deadline to sign up: Wednesday, August 13th — LAST CALL!Apologies: The previous Challonge bracket had to be reset due to technical issues — once a tournament is created, certain configurations cannot be changed before it begins.
This is the inaugural event of the official Axis & Allies Revised World Championship Series.
Players may begin immediately after verifying their matchups on Challonge. The deadline to complete all first-round games is Wednesday, August 27th.
If your game is not finished by then, please send me the save file from the most recent completed turn for arbitration.
Once your game is complete, please post your result and attach the game file in this thread, on Challonge, or on the ladder sheet.
The best way to find your opponent is by messaging them on the TripleA forum, Challonge, or in the TripleA lobby. We don’t have access to each other’s emails, so communication will need to happen through these channels. Most games will be played in the TripleA lobby, but PBEM is also acceptable. I recommend scheduling your game with your opponent in advance.

@manuc23 hey manu, that's not the current opponent as the bracket is still being officialized as we are awaiting more participants. You can play with PBEM or play in the lobby :). please read thread above.

@eyeswideshut yes you already told me, but every time I play a PBEM game, I understand the game more, that happened to me with Anniversary, this game has classic things and things from 1942 2ndE and it is a little confusing with very different areas and different rules too, I already played a game and I felt strange, I uploaded the game to a thread on this forum, which is dead, asking a question, but none of the super champions was able to answer it and in the room I play something else but not this because everyone who is connected is playing the tournament as if it were a Chess Blitz and I need my time as a new player, when the tournament is complete I play and I will see how I prepare on my own.

@manuc23 I hear yah, buddy. Most players here are active with live play in the lobby. Listen, you can opt for PBEM, too, btw! The community is really fun and you get to learn a lot. Almost all the players in the lobby will play anyone, really. You do you but would be great to see yah doing more live play! It's how I got better.

@EyesWideShut the dice server isn't working properly or I am not doing it correctly. Place the to email as mine, the cc email as @leemorrison .... both emails show as registered with the marti die server, which is contacted and tested correctly. However, no emails are sent out during play, and when saving and posting the game is saying the emails are "null".

PBF/PBEM are interchangeable and you can switch at any time in your current game. I'm also pretty sure one player can use pbem and the other pbf in the same game.
At least I think all my opponents use pbf while I use pbem

@beelee I have used it before . . . we are not getting confirming die rolls sent via emails. Valid gmail and non gmail accounts tested.

Maybe something got corrupted during initial setup. I would try setting it up from scratch and starting again.
It is working for me and my opponents and we have gmail and non gmail as well as pbem and pbf

@calbears72 @leemorrison I'm not the best advisor here as I don't normally play PBEM. I tested on my gmail account and could not even register. However, there is a work around. Try making a gmx.com account and use marti from there. I did a test and it seems to work flawlessly.

@beelee @EyesWideShut obviously we are at an inpass. You are saying gmail's don't work, yet @beelee says they are working. Neither @leemorrison or my non gmail accounts worked, or did my gmail accounts worked. Lee doesn't want to play live so idk. You tell me.

well I use a gmx account. I know that protonmail also works but some of my opponents use gmail.
There was a issue a while back with gmail and I think yahoo too.
Idk if it matters but what triplea engine version are you using ?
I'm on 2.7+14962 and have been for a while

Just double checked and I have a multi game that started Nov 2024 and it has both gmail and yahoo as well as gmx.net and gmx.com -
@beelee I appreciate it. Will post what becomes of the hopeful match. Traveling the next few days, so since we cant do live, and can't get email to work. It will need to wait until at least weekend. @leemorrison if you get it to work by email, let me know, place bid then send to me. My suggestion is simply start a practice game to see if it works. I won't be available during the times you mentioned tomorrow for a live game, but I will be available starting saturday for a live game if we don't get email version working.
