Banned without warning for no reason

Hi.
EWS banned me without warning and for no reason other than I complained about the bot being annoying and slow, which it was. That's not an insult, it's feedback.
I would suggest mods take a look at the conversation (from a few hours ago) and point out to me where I was being disrespectful. Sure, I was frustrated with the bot, and for good reason, but that's not a violation of lobby rules. EWS seems to take critizism of the bots personally, which was not intended.
He also did not warn me, he just said "if you don't like it, don't play" which is not very constructive.
If you read through the short conversation and find it to be the overreaction that it was - please override the decision. Even better would be if EWS does so himself. I have always enjoyed our conversations in the past and am quite baffled that he would act like this.

If the matter here is limited only to the fact that @eyeswideshut banned you from one, some or all of the "Bot_Revised_Ladder" (so not from the official hosts nor from the lobby), those bots are not TripleA bots. They are private bots (of @eyeswideshut), so he/she can boot/ban from those bots whoever he/she wants without needing a reason to do so.
If the matter is limited to this, I guess the only thing you can do is having a private conversation with @eyeswideshut about being allowed back into his/her hosts.
To be clear, I'm just a regular moderator like @eyeswideshut is (not a supervisor). I'm merely giving you the information that the TripleA automated hosts (bots) are only those with "Official Host" in the comments column in lobby.

Also, what I said is just my understanding. I'm not sure if and to what extent moderation may or may not apply to private automated and/or non-automated hosts. What I said could be wrong: I don't really know.

Thanks for the info, that clears things up. So, if you're reading this @eyeswideshut, I'm sorry I had bad things to say about your creation. I can see why you'd want to automate the ladder. However, it does not work painlessly yet, and I would take notes if people are complaining.
I was with a fairly new guy, and the amount of confusion the bot created was immense. He was like "do I have to type something?" and when I told him what to write - the bot interpreted that as a command.
Example:
New guy: "I surrender"
Me: "ok gg"
Bot: "ARE YOU SURRENDERING YES/NO YOU HAVE 60 SECONDS"
Me: "no"
New guy: "Let's start a new one" - leaves room
Bot: "YOUR OPPONENT LEFT SO I'M SAVING"
New guy: comes back
Me: "you have to type gg so this game ends and we can start a new one"
Bot: "ARE YOU SURRENDERING YES/NO YOU HAVE 60 SECONDS"
Me: "no"
New guy: "how do we start over"
Me: "you have to type g g" (trying to avoid the command)
New guy: "g g"
...
Me: "type it together"
New guy: "gg"It might seem comical, but after lots of these fruitless conversations it gets old pretty quick. The main reason to play on TripleA is that it is with real people, the last thing you wanna do is have stupid conversations with a bot.
Bot 3 seems more promising, just checking boxes instead of answering a bot.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Maybe next time we could have a conversation about it, and no one has to be banned and then mocked in the lobby.

Hedin, a considerable amount of time and effort has gone into building these automated ladder bots. The purpose is to eliminate manual game entry and automate game records, saves, clocks, and ratings for a community of roughly 80 players. The bots are at capacity for much of the day, and many regular players have become accustomed to the system.
That does not mean everything works perfectly. I have been actively monitoring the bots, listening to players, and making changes based on their experiences. The surrender sequence you describe identifies a usability problem, and I understand why it was frustrating, especially when helping a newer player.
However, you characterize our exchange as simply offering feedback. From my perspective, your responses in CAPS and repeated dismissals of the bots went beyond identifying problems. They became disrespectful and disruptive. That conduct was why I banned you from my hosts—not because you criticized a feature or encountered a bug.
When I said you did not have to play, I meant that participation in this automated ladder is voluntary. If you dislike the format, you are free not to participate. We have an active community that uses it regularly, and I do not expect every player to prefer it.
With only three recorded ladder games, your experience is relatively limited. Your specific concerns still deserve attention, but decisions about the system also need to reflect sustained feedback from the regular players who use it every day. One frustrating experience does not represent the whole community.
These are privately operated Revised Ladder hosts, not TripleA’s official hosts. The restriction concerned access to my hosts, not the TripleA lobby or official bots. I manage access to those hosts and expect respectful conduct.
I have enjoyed our past conversations, and I’m willing to discuss this directly and constructively. You can disagree with the automated format and point out its shortcomings. What I ask is that you do so respectfully, with consideration for the other players and the work involved in maintaining the ladder.

Also, I'm sorry, but he had a problem with the surrender commands. At this juncture all of the players are comfortable using the bot. It's actually just limited to Hedin41. Of course it is understandable for new players to experience frustration but that's not the case after the familiarity threshold. His tantrums were just not warranted and actually frustrated other players because they've been up for 2 weeks in. His user "feedback" consisted of public rants, yelling in caps at me, and the guy had the audacity to kick me out of the ladder bot when i came in where my intention was to both guide him while listening to any constructive feedback.
Is this a productive member of the community?
No.
Did I ban him?
No. Only from the ladder. Not triplea itself,
Can he come back?
That's up to him.
I've unbanned him in fact from the ladder. I thought he needed a cool for moments for himself.
Anyway, i'm open to discussion.

Thanks for the reply. You must be mixing me up with someone else though, because I never responded in CAPS and never kicked you out and didn't throw "tantrums". I hope you moderators have access to logs and can check. That just didn't happen. It's actually worse than banning me to spread false information about me like this. Please get the facts straight.
I was however pretty sarcastic when describing the bot, calling it "smart" and asked you why it prompted 2 million questions etc. That is me being annoyed at the bot, not being disrespectful to you.
Maybe there was someone else yelling in CAPS at you, I didn't see any of that. Maybe that would be why you were being rude to me when I tried to figure out why you banned me out of the blue like that. There's obviously some kind of misunderstanding going on.
