Looking for PBEM players for TWW 2.8.0.3
-
Hi I'm quite new and I would like to test in PBEM with players in the last version of TWW (2.8.0.3).
Is anyone interested?
Low Luck and Russia-Japan Neutral ?
Tks.

I'll join you. I've only ever finished 2 games of TWW.
I'd prefer Russia and Japan not to be neutral though. I think pretty much everyone plays with them at war.
-
Thanks for feedback, let see if someone else is joining... and let me know how who want to proceed!
tks

Are those Map Options ok?

Sounds good to me. I'll play anyone, but I haven't played the USA much so I'd prefer the allies.

@crazyg
@oigroig78
if either of you or both want another game, just set one up, I'm fine with either side.

@wirkey Guess I'm just not enough competition for ya
-
@redrum you are too slow. And so far you have won all of your games
-
It would be nice to have a game where each player is moving one nation, may 5 players in total. Have you ever tested?
-
@oigroig78 I'm not big fan of this but I'd give it a try
-
@wirkey You just play too fast! Though to be fair I think the 2 of us have finished more PBF TWW games then everyone else combined!
@oigroig78 I'd be open to a MP TWW PBF game (4-6 players). The challenges as I see in doing it are:
- Need to find pretty balanced teams so the game lasts more than just a few rounds.
- Need to find people that can commit to pretty much playing their turn in 24-48 hours after posted as otherwise everyone else ends up waiting on them and can end up having each player only getting like 1 turn a week which is hard to keep interested in.
-
What I can say about me is that my level is "beginner", but I do love the complexity of TWW, which makes the game so realistic.
-
I would guess that the level of experience from most to least is
Wirkey-->redrum-->CrazyG-->oigroigSo the most balanced teams are probably oigroig and wirkey vs me and redrum. I'm also hesitating but I'll give it a try
-
@crazyg Well, that would be fine with me but I'm guessing @wirkey probably wouldn't agree to that
I think the question probably is how big of a skill gap is there between you and @oigroig78. As I think the other 3 of us are probably at least in the same ballpark as I've played competitive games against each of you.
-
@redrum
Oigroig is probably less experienced (not to be mean). Maybe after he and I finish a game we can do a multi. -
@crazyg Yeah, that would probably be a good idea.
-
I agree me too, iβm For sure the less experienced on the game as @CrazyG can witness (no offence, itβs the true). In case of future multi game, I consider taking Italy as nation, because of limited range of action.
-
@oigroig78 if you want to learn and improve I suggest to not only take Italians.
For beginners I think Russia might be a good start as they don't need that much coordination with other Allies. For the Axis I think Germany/Italy are easier than Japan. -
Watching other players really helped me when I was newer. Especially for Japan's and Germany's turn one. I would even consider just copying someone elses opening moves at first. Then make small changes and observe the advantages/disadvantages.
It would be really nice if someone wrote a guide for new players first few turns (especially tech choices). I've played a few times but I still don't get why I would ever take a few of the tech options
-
Yeah, watching other players or looking through save games can be very helpful for newer players. It at least gives players a solid starting place and can see how the map usually plays out the first few rounds.
I'll try to put a little guide together that covers basic strategy for each nation and some of the unique TWW features.
