@mattbarnes 27 is indeed connected to Northern Germany. Copenhagen however only controls movement between 27 and 26
-
@wirkey indeed that seems to be the case. However, is it logical? Visually, one rather has to sail close to Copenhagen to reach Northern Germany.
-
@mattbarnes While looking at the map as drawn in TWW it can very much look as though the proximity of Northern Germany to the Danish Islands is roughly equidistant to that of Mainland Denmark or Sweden. However in reality the choke points created by the straits (between Denmark & Sweden) are far more restricting than that of sailing off the Northern German coast. since one can hug (metaphorically speaking) the German coast and stay close to 20 - 40 km away from any part of what would be considered part of the Danish Islands.
Furthermore, since the mechanic is really meant to embody the ability of being able to block movement through the strait via a defensible area that would offer the ability to mine or torpedo any navigable parts of the straits... This part of the Baltic would not be considered part of that.

might have found another bug my american Air Transport did not change to british ownership in labrador.
-
@ubernaut The unit changes as soon as you click done.
-
@Hendriks1 Hi @Hendriks1 good to see a post from you.
Try 3.0.0.6
I am still looking at the bombing stats as I watch and play games.

@wirkey said in Total World War: December 1941 3.0.0.6:
@Hepps @ubernaut all territories return to the original owner, even if that capital is occupied or not. I've been adressing this issue for years...
What do you mean by "addressing"? Did you open any bug reports about it?
I've one opened here about this issue, but, so far, no developer responded, sadly (in more than 4 years):
https://sourceforge.net/p/triplea/bugs/1115/ -
@Hepps thanks its strange that the unit in labrador changes after the unit in queensland.
-
@ubernaut I like to keep some mystery in the relationship.

-
@Cernel no, never made a report, cause I did not think it was a bug, rather the way it was coded.
But I have said it several times that I find it problematic that territories, especially in Russia and China revert to the original owners if liberated, even if their capital(s) are occupied. Prevents the liberator from building infrastructure. That way liberating Russia through Siberia or China from the coast is next to impossible without the ability to build AFs (or rails or whatever). -
@wirkey Yeah, the issue is without reverting to original owners immediately that if you would build infrastructure and then liberate the nation's capital, that nation wouldn't be able to use that infrastructure (americanFactory != chineseFactory). So we'd need triggers to either convert infra units across nations or have them become materials when liberation occurs.
-
@Hepps How does this work, the Vichy Fleet at Toulon and Dakar, scuttle or capture, when does this trigger? I installed 3.0.0.6 and use politics, but this doesn't come up on the Axis first turn? What needs to happen?
-
@Hepps Japan took the Allied exchange unit territory in the east of USSR from USSR. The UK battled for it in the next turn and won and "liberated" it, now expecting to be able to land a tank there and that tank to switch to become USSR, but UK wasn't allowed to land a tank there in the non combat move...is that ok? Does the territory need to be Russian again for at least one turn? Seems silly to me.
-
@Hepps Should trains not become exchangeable between Allies? Right now, trucks are, but the UK would love to present Russia with a train from India, but I believe that is currently not possible?
-
So, is this what I was reporting here? If so, this hasn't fixed yet; "Fix bug where liberating russian or chinese L&L territories you can't reinforce them in ncm as they turn russian/chinese immediately instead of being the territory of the nation on turn"
-
So, maybe I answered that by looking at the notes for fixes; "Fix Exiled Allies Toulon Fleet Event which was firing turn 1 instead of after Vichy's capital falls". So, this event starts triggering when Vichy capitals falls to the Allies? Does it fire each turn or only once??
-
Is there a reason Spain needs to be between China and Britain? Seems like China and Spain could be switched since they most likely don't affect each other, which would make it more convenient for a forum game where the axis have Spain
-
@Hendriks1 Take a look at this thread it explains the Vichy fleets...
-
@Hepps THANKS! Very clear! Very good!
-
@Hendriks1 Aaand I answered that myself by testing as well, as the UK train from India DOES turn to USSR possession in Eastern Iran
