i think there is something wrong with the battle calculator currently the one land unit must survive checkbox doesn't seem to have any effect on the results.Screen Shot 2019-06-20 at 9.07.32 AM.png Screen Shot 2019-06-20 at 9.08.12 AM.png

@ubernaut You can see the TUV goes down a bit essentially because it saves a Tank vs a Fighter. But win odds are the same as they have the same attack power.

@redrum No. Assuming that is one of the basic games, I can see there is a bomber in the attacking force, that, if one land unit must live, will be taken as penultimate casualty, then one armour. So the win probability of this case should be lower, albeit only slightly so.

Maybe that 29% instead of 30%, we see there, at 10,000 runs, is good enough, but, to be virtually sure (as with simulations you can never be actually sure) we would need a battle SIMULATOR that gives the permille, instead of the percent, and running it at 100,000 simulations or more.

Side note, I cannot believe nobody but me appears to be bothered by the fact that that thing is called "calculator". It is not a calculator, of battles or whatever, so it should not be called so. It is a simulator.

i think it is right actually here are some screens that should prove it is accurately simulating a battle where you must capture the territory with at least one land unit:

              Screen Shot 2019-06-20 at 11.29.52 AM.png Screen Shot 2019-06-20 at 11.30.03 AM.png Screen Shot 2019-06-20 at 11.30.17 AM.png

side note, it is a simulator but it's function is to calculate battle outcomes so maybe it's both.

@Cernel Correct but in most cases more than 1 unit survives when the attacker wins so a tank would swap for a fighter. You are probably right that it is about a percent different on win percentage as shows. But I believe the ~-2 change in TUV between the 2 calcs is the main difference.

@redrum well this is low luck so the first round should always be a tie leaving the third scenario where a bomber goes up against a fighter on defense in the 2nd round if the land unit survival is not set but if it is, then the second round is artillery versus fighter, so the setting would appear to be correct. i think what threw me off originally is that the effect reduces as the battle scales because it's only one causality that makes the difference.

@ubernaut Ah ok. But yeah, your further calcs demonstrate it working very clearly.
