Converting Game Edits To XML

I remember seeing years ago that there was a way to make edits in game and then transfer those to a xml so you wouldn't have to type in all the changes. I can't seem to find it anywhere though. Does anyone know what I'm referring to and if so where I could find the information on it ?

@beelee It is in the menu item "Export" ... "Export game.xml File (beta)".
