It would be nice to set the AI on my map to prioritize certain aspects of the game. For instance, land only, or help defend allies, or maybe aggressiveness level.

Or even which AI to use for certain players. I will probably have several different nations that will do almost nothing, so they would be best as fastAI, but i want the primary enemy to be the best AI.

        Doesn't this work for you?

You can individually assign the desired "role".

Don't always trust TripleA when it comes to rules questions. Know the rules before you start … and better check what TripleA has done.

That works for choosable nations. The majority of mine will not be on that screen. I am making a one sided scenario basically. There are minor nations you are allied with, but you would not want to play them.

And the first part of that is more what I am thinking would be useful anyway, the ability to tell one country to concentrate on land, and another to concentrate on the seas. Or as others have mentioned so i didn't put it here, give certain territories more appeal to the AI, or basically just give the map creators some ability to tweak the AI without getting into the code for it.

@ff03k64 There are some things you can do to influence the AI, especially if you don't want a human player.

            • If you use the Easy AI, the AI will move towards the nearest enemy-held capital, without consideration of counterattack.

            • If you put a capital on the map, the AI will give it more importance, even if losing it has no effect on the owner.

            • You can give the player specific units through events. If you want a sea campaign, just give it ships

            • You can deny it specific units or limit the number of units it builds of a specific type. If you want a land campaign, don't let it build ships.

            • You can confine it to specific territories

            • If you don't want it to anything except be an ally, make it a pro-neutral or don't give it a movement phase.
