REPAIR AND LOADING ISSUES
-
Why are there 2 different ways to load ( transport / airtransport by pop up select and train truck by click ctrl.)
And 2 different handlings of repair? (Popup at round start player for constructions/structures after Strategic bombing, and autorepair for 2 hit units like Battleships/Carriers/ Fortifications and so...)
Anyone can tell me why the current situation is like it is, and if there where discussions to make it more "consequent"one systeem for both? ( maybe the topic was in the forum before)
are there any plans to adapt it?
Personally I really prefer the popup solution, in both repair and moving. When repairing best at players round start, so one can choose to repair or to spend PU's on other things like with Factories and so... autorepair for free seems ot of ballance and not appropiate.... makes the 2hit unit just a buffer for impact without consequences and if operating from repairig facility territory a big advantage .......
any ideas? info about the current situation on these 2 features? thanks -

can you elaborate i don't understand what you are describing.

well, constructions are a choice, unit repairs have no cost.

Why are there 2 different ways to load :
- with transport and air transport one gets a pop up to select load
-and with truck and trains you select with CTRL..
And yes, I wonder if repairing for free is good...haha...
it makes one mostly have the battleship take a hit
as a buffer.. to avoid other losses...
if the battleship would be performing worse...like in pact of steel and total war for example, that would be less inviting, especially if repairing would cost some PU's.. - with transport and air transport one gets a pop up to select load

@ebbe some maps require repairable units to be near a dock for repairs.
-
@ubernaut That is the point and by this for example japan or Uk has multiple sea zones where a battleship or carrier would theoretically get an instant free repair each turn .. which is a (too) big advantage I woud say ..... so : building with a hull like in Total War is realisitic, and then repairing by spending 5 PU's on it and 1 turn would also be more realistic ... leaving a powerfull battleship vunerable at the docks that turn.. I give it a chance

@ebbe i think you'd have to lower the purchase price capital ships are already overpriced in terms of power/ipc

@ubernaut
so not having a complete overview of all games but in this map
the most average units shopping list will look like:
submarine 8
destroyer 9
cruiser 12
carrier 16
battleship 18

@ebbe it's interesting i kinda like the way it is tho
