@rogercooper Would this be a change big enough to update the triplea_maps.yaml file? I assume that is still the right way to do it, even though we have the yml file now?

@ff03k64 Don't confuse map.yml with triplea_maps.yaml.

map.yml designates how the individual scenarios will be displayed in the selection screen on your local computer.

triplea_maps.yaml is file maintained in github which designates how the scenario will displayed on the download screen

The version number should be changed in both.

@rogercooper i wasn't mixing them. That is why i was confused. I probably didn't ask the right questions to be clear. So this will need a triplea_maps.yaml update too then.

@thedog These are the two PRs (pull requests) that would need to be accepted for it. Someone else will have to accept them before they are actually incorporated. If you want to know how to make your own PRs in the future, I can probably show you how sometime.

Is there a reason that when i play Gondor that no Purchase step occurs after the non combat movement? it seems to occur for a couple of other factions according to the in game history.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forums!

The reason Gondor has no Purchase step is that it has no money/pu.

This map has upkeep, most units cost 1pu to maintain, a simple mechanic to simulate supply costs.

This is one of my earlier maps, so its not polished, may I suggest you try this map below?

As I am willing to maintain it and balance it. Currently its only a zip file as it requires effort and time to load it into GitHub

@thedog thank you. Do I just copy the zip into a map or mod folder for TripleA? I'm decently knew to TripleA as a program.

Yes, assuming you are on Windows copy zips to typically here;
C:\Users\%username%\triplea\downloadedMaps
Just paste the above into Windows Explorer.

It is best to unzip map files as you get better error reporting.

@thedog any reason it's not finding the map when I try to select the map in game? i downloaded the zip, copied it to the downloaded maps folder, and have tried keeping in both a zip format and unzipping it but when I go to select the map in TripleA it gives me this.
