🏯 The Shogun - Official Thread

@thedog ok, thanks for those answers. On #2 though, no, you can see I lost Kyoto in the right hand panel as it names my ally as territory owner. They captured it while not at war.

@mattbarnes
#2 Could this of happened?- You are Shimazu and own Yamashiro
- You did not take Kyoto, but it looked like you did because the Yamashiro green bled through to Kyoto
- Allowing your ally to take it.
If not could you send me a saved game?
-
@thedog darn, you’re right! I thought it was mine because the green bled around it. But now I see it was never mine.
Here’s another thing: the standard rules have an alliance winning with 11+ VPs. I have 3 allies and together we have 12 VPs, so the victory was triggered. But it said Amago won! They are one of the alliance but contribute 4 of the VPs whereas I had 5 VPs. How does it decide who wins in that case?

@mattbarnes
Hopefully it said
Amago and their allies have won!
But who will be Shogun?This is because its a shared victory and the way it calculates is a bit of a mystery to me.
I think its something like this, if 11+ VC after one whole turn then the first in the allied nation list gets the mention, in this case Amago.
-
hmmm that is indeed a bit sour, maybe allied victory is something to look at again?
or let go the concept of allies in the game but keep the victory for one player only, better deal? -
Im OK with it, it could be displayed better by listing all the allies that won in the notification panel header, like it displays for alliances.
But there is only one Dev working on 2.6 so I guess this is a low priority.
-
Here is an example of a fixed alliance victory
Notice the header attempts to display all those in the alliance
A political alliance victory could/should look something similar.
