Nardawgg Axis+9 defeats Mogwai Allies Round 4
A standard game took a turn when Japan snuck into West US early after Pearl harbor. After securing a take and hold in West US, Mogwai called gg. Lucky for the Axis because the Allies were outclassing Germany in Europe. Thanks for the game, Mogwai. ToC 18 Mogwai R4US.tsvg

hammond def. Patton77 (Axis+9) Round 5HvP.tsvg
Germany just didn't have the dice going for them. Standard Russian attacks were aided by bad dice leaving more on territories than usual. German counter offensives were limited. By Rd 2, Africa was mostly in Allies' control and Germany was down a bomber due to a tranny hit. The Allies smelled blood and pushed Germany out of Africa and made gains in the European Theatre. Japan was building and was gathering forces, but USA got a foothold and was in the fight. Rather than turtle German forces, Axis made an honorable surrender. Too bad RD1 dice (so critical) didn't go Axis way otherwise, Japan's forces would have made for an interesting game. Patton77 was a good sport and was a pleasure to game with. Good luck in the next tourney!

ingcameroni (axis+9) def. calbears72 Round 14
Very funny game... allies start good game and take Africa soon, but Japan was free to move .... at round 5 (mybe) Russia for a little mistake lost all tanks and Germany was free to take Caucaso!
Calbears is a very good player, but dice was better for Axis! Tnks for the game and good luck for your job!

hammond (Allies) def ingcameroni (Axis +9) Round 7
Germany decided to spend its resources on some ocean power in the Baltic Sea. UK tried to counter this by building a fleet in SZ 7 which was not afloat for too long as Germany sunk this fleet with ease. The destruction of UK’s fleet by round 2 left UK without being able to help open a front. A key point to the UK regaining some hope (and dignity) on the Western Front, was that the German fleet remained in the Baltic and the key Sea zone #6 was able to be maintained in Allies’ control with some US help. USA was able to supply Africa and got some good dice in defending Southern Europe. Control of SE by USA quickly aided in Germany’s downfall and Russia was just able to hold off a surge of Japanese forces in Asia. Ingcameroni, as always, was a pleasure to game with and a good sport. Good luck in the next tourney!

A brutal game between Vahe345(Axis) and Eboy (Allies) has ended in a win for the latter. Could have gone both ways. We had to fight for the axis bid, both wanted it badly, so it was a record low 6 bid for Germany, 1 tank in Africa. Axis got off to a good start, as Russia failed to take Karelia on R1. UK stacked the northern front quite fast, with backup from Russia. Was stuck in EE for many rounds, factory didn't come before round 10. Japan almost held Kazakh in the deciding rounds, but russia with help of kamikza US air took it by a small margin. A sneak attack on Anglo-Egypt killed off the jap airforce at a vital time a few rounds before. Thank you for the game - was a tough challenge for me. Good luck in next tournament. vahe.tsvg

TangoRomeo (Axis +7) defeats skillibir (gkhan) TR over GKHAN.tsvg
A super close and intense game up until the 10th round when Axis surrounded Caucus with both German and Japanese armies. Although Russia could easily have handled one of those armies, the threat of both at the door caused the Russian army to retreat to Moscow. The two Axis armies joined forces in West Russia for a few rounds before Japan consolidated enough power to force a Russian retreat/surrender in round 16.

Frank-the-Tank (Allies) defeats Jeffschultz32 in Round 16.
Russia felt relatively early to Japan, but Allies had strong control over the seas and Africa. Economics then allowed Allies to slowly grind Axis until the point Tokyo felt on Round 15 to USA. -
Brennan (Allies) def. Villars (Axis +9) Round 9 USA9_Villars_vs_Brennan.tsvg
A win for Allies after Villars graciously surrenders at the end of Round 9. A hard fought battle on both sides, Russia got off to a strong start, followed by some unfortunate dice for the Axis in rd1. Thereafter U.S. focused on the Pacific, thus Japan and the Allies’ fleets did the dance for a time, which helped the Allies keep Japan preoccupied. Notable successes for the Axis were their pressure on – and presence in – North America on the part of both powers, and even Germany’s presence in Brazil.
All in all, a very fun and interesting game. It’s worth noting the Allies did have good dice a number of times. Villars is a great both player and sport. Thanks for the fun game Villars and I look forward to playing you again sometime! -
TangoRomeo (Allies) defeats Eboy82 (bid +6) tango.v.eboy.toc.tsvg
In what can only be described as "Seeing every possible R1 Revised version dice weakness" ever, TangoRomeo beat Eboy82 in R4. It's a long three-game story in which we witnessed the worst dice over and over and over....and over again. Mercy was given, friendly dialogue was had, and ultimately we shook our heads and tried to figure out how to solve some of the R1 conundrums. We're not quite there, but have some ideas.
Either way, we are fairly matched opponents but the dice decided these games. I guess that's why we play. Thanks Eboy82 for the great games and the opportunity to continue my quest.
Peace.

Nardawgg (Axis +8) Defeats Fank-the-Tank (Allies) Round 21
Tough to even recall so many events in a long 21 round game. The game began with a ferocious amount of pressure on Japan with a US pacific fleet and Russians supporting American troops in the mainland Asia. With great success Japan was shrinking and looked to be in trouble. Meanwhile Germany was growing out of control due to the lack of pressure from USA and Russia, and in a game changing moment decided to build a massive baltic fleet to push for London. This board shift quickly caused the british navy to sacrifice itself to save the capital and the mass american navy/air to fall back to send fighters to UK to just BARELY defend it, but the Japanese navy followed them back to the homeland and started its revenge on Western US. After many rounds of a UK stalemate, with over 50 brits stationed in London, Germany gave up and went back towards Russia with a great march, and Japan back to work on the mainland, and the game reverted to a more traditional one. UK/USA with massive airforce and landings in Europe caused germany much heartache, but Japan was knocking on Moscow's door to bail the Axis out of the game with a Round 20 Moscow capture. Thanks Frank for one of the best games I've been part of, totally wild and unpredictable. Blunders and masterclasses on both sides. Sorry for the long story, but so much happened im even leaving out much with this length. GG ToC 18 FranktheTank.tsvg

bayder (axis +10) defeated Brennan (allies) in round 10 by surrender in a game played mostly pbem, but a few online turns as well. Axis got a fast start when Japan's tran won against the UK DD in sz59 in round 1 (fyi in the game file, this was an edit as Brennan forgot the move when we were playing online...so we agreed to mock it in another bot, which gave the result). Game file is attached. Thanks to Brennan for a fun and fast game

Nardawgg (Allies) Defeats TangoRomeo (Axis+8) Round 32!!
Perhaps the most grueling game of tripleA I've played. The game began standard with the axis closing in on Russia, and UK/USA fighting for Africa and Europe. The game began to become wild when US smashed a big stack of Germans in SE, along with a Russian strike on a Japanese/German coalition in West Russia. The Allies soon learned this was a huge blunder with Russia very weak afterwards and gobbled up by a mighty Japan a couple rounds later. But the round after Moscow's fall, the UK softened up Berlin, with US taking it out. Afterwards, 20 rounds of grueling warfare occurred all across the board. Japan was definitely the favorite with tanks rolling in all over Europe, but a few critical errors kept setting them back from finishing the Allies off. These mistakes eventually turned the game in the Allies favor. The war weariness got to TangoRomeo and he decided to call it gg (though I didn't think it was over).
Thanks TR for a terrific game, very strong player, and fun player to have such an awesome game with. ToC 18 TangoRomeo.tsvg

bayder (Axis +9) defeated @King-Kelly (Allies) after J4 by surrender in game played 90% online and a couple pbem turns. Allies went heavy KJF, allowing Germ to expand quickly. Early dice were in favor of Axis, and Allies were in trouble early. Thanks KK for a fast and fun game! ToC18_bay-ax_kk-al_r04_5USA.tsvg

hammond (Allies) def Bayder (Axis+9) . Key first round battles favored the Allies and Japan had to lose a bomber just to save its fleet in the battle of 52. In Round 2, it was Germany’s turn to lose its bomber attacking a UK transport with the transport surviving. Down 2 bombers before round 2 was finished, the axis found itself in a deep hole and rather than continuing a game with further dicing setbacks, the Axis surrendered. My opinion is that Bayder is the best Axis and Allies player, but sometimes the better opponent is the dice. GG Bayder and hit it running in the next tourney!

Nardawgg (Axis +9) def Hammond (Allies) Round 12. The game began standardly with the Allies ganging up on Germany, with Axis securing Africa relatively quickly. Allies looked dominant with an American factory in Ukraine backed up my a MASSIVE Russian force. The walls were closing in on Germany with Japan hitting some speedbumps on their way to Moscow slowing them down. A critical moment happened when the Japanese navy slipped through the Suez to hit Caucasus with a semi-kamikaze of its airforce to destroy the British planes parked there. The game turned after that with Germany able to move out to EE to confront the Ukraine factory when the Russian tanks left for a round. Then a HUGE fight took place(where the Axis got great dice) in Ukraine to destroy both Russian and German armies, but Japan was closer to Moscow then the Allies were to Berlin, resulting in a surrender from Hammond. Very good game, and very well played from Hammond. He also very generously donated his prize winnings to the next ToC, as will I. Big thank you to Bayder for hosting another ToC, and looking forward to the next one! GG everybody! ToC 18 Hammond.tsvg

If there’s enough interest we can do ToC19 very soon, and continue to do them more frequently to keep the fun and momentum going. Thanks again, everyone!
