TWW3 with zlefins debugged xml

@ubernaut It also didn't exist in the testing games I started this evening. Neither in local nor in Play online.
-
@ubernaut But the bug did occur in the test game you started right now. The wierd thing is that I started the present forum game and it has the bug even though the tests in G1 I did right now from my map didn't have it.
It's very weird. -
@ubernaut Anyways need to run for now.
-
@nothingtoseehere it just happened to us the screenshot was from our live play i can test a completely new game using only my local system to confirm i only have the modified version later but i am assuming that w/e u did the first time u must have done the second time also
-
@ubernaut If the reason the bug is in our game is that I started it, then I should be able to reproduce it in G1, but neither in local nor in lobby did I see the bug, whe I started it. Strangely we did see it in the game you hosted in G1.
-
@nothingtoseehere in our second game we (you) saw it on J1, in this our 3rd game u also started it but i don't think we saw in J1 but u got rly lucky in that battle and i think destroyed my entire java fleet in 1 round of combat so mayeb it was there and we missed it somehow

I went back and looked at the 3rd game J1 fight of this game in history. And you can see the transformation there. I looked it up, when you told me we had the bug. I assumed that it was the reason you knew.
-
@nothingtoseehere i guess i have never looked at this via the history but it seems when you restarted the game you must have used the original xml agn right?
-
yea, sadly, triplea doesn't have the xml number listed at game start anymore.
I add a notification at game start, saying which version number it is. -
@nothingtoseehere just ran a local test the bug is not present wen i start a game from scratch
-
@ubernaut: I didn't see the bug, when I tested locally after I downloaded the new XML on my new laptop for the 3rd game. I don't see it in local or play online games on a fresh game. I looked through the XML lines concerning carriers and they seem to be modified correctly. I have no idea why the carrier bug occurred in this game.
I think I will just test a new game as being bug-free and recreate the current state at the end of Italy 1, or if you prefer the second game at Jap1 cm via edit, because I'm kind of tired of redoing Ger1, Rus1 and Jap1 for the third time in a row without having gone further in between. -
@nothingtoseehere luck has gone your way pretty severely in this game if u don't want to restart then mayeb we should switch back to me doing axis

@wc_sumpton many saves in this thread here is the fixed xml:

@ubernaut I don't favor the lucky rolls of this game. I just want to finally move beyond turn 1. It starts to feel like groundhog day to do it the third time. We can also continue the second game in a save that doesn't have the bug. If you think it is important to do it all again and it's worth a few more weeks to finally reach turn 2 instead of skipping ahead I can do it though I would prefer not to.
-
@nothingtoseehere both games r basically in the same state except that the luck is one-sided one way or the other in each respective game. both games u started have the bug in them. i don't rly want to do the edit idea tbh too easy to miss something. all i know is whatever we do im gonna run the game forward as to make sure the bug isn't in the next game before i make any plays lol
-
@ubernaut But didn't we see the bug in a new game you started?
-
-
According to this Savegame you are playing on the unmodified xml. How I checked was under Export -> Export game.xml File (Bata) and checked trigger "triggerAttachmentgermanAC" which did not have the "whenHitPointsDamagedChangesInto" property settings.
Using Export is a quick way of finding out which xml you are playing, if you know where to look for changes.
Cheers...

@ubernaut Ok fine. You start a new game with the same options as all the others, post it. I roll tech and test for bugfreeness. An probably will go for pretty much the same cm as I did before. And hopefully we'll get through Jap1 witout encountering the bug again.
