      @crockett36 I was trying to form armies in Kar, Nov and a tank army in Smo. Did I succeed? I tried to imitate the German ones. The tank general wanted to go to Smo, but couldn't. The mines wanted to go to the front, but couldn't. The engineer, I assumed needed to be near the mines? There you go.

        A few things. It looks as if you used edit to DOW JPN. The Soviet/JPN NAP works a little different in EXP.

        The first two rounds are same as OOB. Begining Early 1941/Rd3, there is a IPC fee you must pay and your opponent then receives that amount and can either place units in non combat Territories that turn or put them in the bank.

        Usually, we just add the dudes or the money on the Players turn but in some cases you might want to do it sooner ( adding units to non combat zones ).
        For example, if Italy attacked first or JPN attacked Russia first.

        Anyway, Politics come after Purchase, so you need to save enough dough to be able to DOW. In this case, it'd be 8 bucks.

        What I'll do is, rescind the DOW, since you didn't attack any JPN TTys and there is no advantage for you to do so.

        If you really wanted to though 🙂 You'd have to remove 8 dollars worth of buys and then JPN gets it added to it's Treasury or can place up to that amount of units on the board.

        I'll brb with how to form your Armies/Corps.

        Armies and Corps are a little complex and as is usually true with most new things, there is a bit of a learning curve. You will pick it up quick though 🙂

        The Soviets have godless Commisars leading their Corps. Generally, what you want is to have them activate the most powerful unit in the Corps. Usually a Tank.

        We'll do Karelia first. You have a Commisar, Tank, Arty and Inf for your ideal Corps makeup of the available units.
        The best way, is after NCM but before you end it, turn on Edit, go to Perform Move or Other Actions and then move them to the appropriate box.

        Then move the corresponding Token back to the appropriate TTy.
        However, since G and Russia aren't at war yet, triplea won't let you do that.

        So, since it's just a Corps and not a Army Group, it's better to finish NCM and just edit them in and out.

        Also, to activate the Army/Corps, you will need to edit in the correct Commisar. Commisar3 is what activates the Tank and is the most common.

        When you go to use them in combat, you move them with edit to the desired TTy and move the token back.
        NOTE you must move all Defenders to said TTy first or the Attackers edited units won't do anything.
        But you don't need to worry about that just yet 🙂

        The Tank General has to be present to form a Tank Army and the five Tanks also have to be present. So, you can't form a Tank Army in Smolensk just yet.

        Also, All of the required units must be present at turn start to move as a Army.
        You can't move the TG into Smolensk in CM and then activate it and keep moving.

        Basically, they will form at the end of your turn. Although Waffen Armies can be an exception.

        What I'm gonna do, is move one of the Smolensk Tanks back to Novgorod, so they can form 2nd Corps with a Tank.
        You can always restructure it next turn by moving it to join the other Tanks and the TG in order to form 1st Tank.

        Landmines can only be armed the turn they are bought in the TTy they're in. They can't move after that.
        The Engineer and the LMs all have to be present at the start of the turn for the Engnr to be able to transport them that turn. Otherwise, they can only move 1 space.
        They can use Rail movement though, but only one LM per Rail.

        To Arm the LMs, you have to edit them out and edit the correct "Changer Player" ones in. If there is not a specific LM for the TTy/Border you want, use the suggested colored one and make a note in Comments.

        I will post an updated R3 and go ahead with Nippon. If you would want to do something different, just let us know. 🙂

              oh ? I tried to find it in History and couldn't find it. I noticed edit turned on and then turned off and then they were at war.

              Well, we will keep an eye on it. I've never noticed it before but sometimes there are unintended changes with the prereleases 🙂

                Just noticed you edited in the "Engineer Attack" unit. He won't be able to transport anybody, so you need to change him back to just "Engineer".

                The "Attack" is just for offensive battle. They both work correctly on defense.

                      yea, so if you go back to your posted turn, you can see at the bottom that the Engineer got swapped out for a EngineerAttack.
                      I assumed you just wanted to move it to Russia and forgot.

                      Anyway, you will need to change it to Engineer or it won't be able to transport the Landmines.

                      The Attack Engnr is for offensive combat only, otherwise, you want the Engineer only.

                          At any rate, you will want to change the Engnr so it can move the LMs.

                          Looking through it again and there are two Elites in Moscow. Can only have one per territory.

                          Since you didn't use any Rail movement last turn, you can move one of the Elites to any TTy you control before your next turn.

                              @crockett36 two questions. I moved the elite to NOV. Is that possible by rail?

                              Secondly, I noticed the cost of an engineer attack is 1 ipc. Did I pay 1 ipc in rd 2? 56 ipc in rd 2. 4 tanks for 20, two bombers 24. paratrooper 4, engineer 5, elite 3. That is correct actually.

                                yea Engnr is 5 bucks and the combat one you just edit in before attacking. It says 1 buck because triplea used to require a PU cost in order to work.

                                That's not necesssary anymore thanks to redrum 🙂

                                Anyway, it doesn't cost anything.

                                Yes, for Rail movement, you can move to any original Russian TTy or the "E" Europe one,can move in Europe as well.

                                You click on the Rail unit and then click on the unit you want to move.

                                Newly conquered TTys from the same turn are Player enforced not to move into.

                                            Technically Italy needs to do their combat moves and then Russia gets the option to place dudes in TTys that aren't being attacked.

                                            Idk that'll matter in this case but just a heads up for future play 🙂

                                            I guess I could change the popup in case it's confusing. Make a second one that fires at end of CM saying you get the 10 bucks.

                                            Or I could clarify it in the first popup.

                                            Actually, I already had a second popup lol I adjusted so it will fire after CM instead of endTurn.

                                            So, I guess it's correct as is. You announce that you're gonna place units or which ones you are gonna buy, then the attacker does his CM and then the dudes get placed ?

                                            Idk, doesn't seem real clear to me. Seems unnecessarily complex.
                                            Well, w/e, that's what it says. I usually just place the dudes at the start of the attacked players turn or add to the bank.

                                            Or, I guess you say, I'm saving the money or spending some or all of it. Say how much. Then CM, then you place the dudes.

                                            Well, whatever, I guess if crockett wants to move his dudes after CM he can.
