You are doing very well for your first game, sir. My very first game was a desaster as Axis and it ended with the Russian Army taking Berlin. My 2nd game, this time as Allies, ended the same. only this time it was the Wehrmacht taking Moscow. The next few games went the same, but with every game I improved and the fun playing increased game by game! The rules and manual editing became normal.
For our current game it is too late in my opinion to switch sites. The Axis made plans involving movementa for the next 1-2 rounds, and switching sites would be too much of an impact.
I feel with you the pain of the overwhelming rules at the beginning, so beelee and I will try to support you (mostly beelee I believe
) as much as we can.lets see if Trout can jump in. he is a very ecpirienced player at EXP and can guide you through. nevertheless will I go over your moves and give you advises and hints, as well as explanations.

@crockett36 Hey Crockett! Yes, I have been following your game as Panzer and Beelee keep beating me with their A&A tricks so I follow other game strings to learn what strategies others are following. The biggest reason I believe HRE is the most brilliant board game ever is that there are so many different strategies one can pursue. There is no formulaic way to win like about every other game around.
However, it is a big learning curve. I still have to check the rulebook multiple times each game I play. Although I am getting better each time. I have notched a win against both of them now and the games I am losing are being lost in closer fashion. So if you are up for it, I can join your Allied cause by playing ANZAC and if you want to bounce any strategies or questions off of me, that's not a problem. Panzer and Beelee have been real patient gents with me so of course I can do the same with you.

Also you will need to rename the folder after you extract the zip to
global_40_expansion_uhd_boxes
then it goes in downloadedMaps folder inside triplea folder next to your saves

which 2.7 exactly ? Some of the most recent have had some issues. I'm on 14962 and it works correctly.

Idk if it matters but the save looks like a second dl with (1) at the end. Maybe try removing it. Worth a try anyway. Probably doesn't matter.
Maybe you've loaded saves like that before though ?
