@LovePlayingAAA Still in development. Bear in mind this represents the most ambitious project in TripleA... not just in scope and scale... but also in the sheer number of elements included.
I don't really do this as a career... so you will simply have to be patient with me on its development. Some nights I feel like working another 4 hours on it... some nights I just want a beer... a Leaf game... and some attention from my wife.

@Hepps How much progress have you made in this mod? Can you please provide a screenshot or some detailed information? Is it set in the present day? I also have some suggestions. Could you make a tech tree that goes from the 19th century to futuristic times? Would you be able to add in nation-specific or special occult units like Krakens or super soliders?

@John-Cena Its just intended to cover ww2. If you read through this thread, there are a lot of screenshots and details posted through out it. I don't believe there has been much progress recently but the majority of the map/units/techs are designed but there is still a good deal of work to complete it. We are working on a bit less ambitious than this ww1 map to prove out some of the features for this map: https://forums.triplea-game.org/topic/1063/power-of-politics-1914-a-wwi-scenario

@redrum Will it feature technological development beyond WW2 (e.g. ICBMs, biological weapons, and other advanced weaponry), nation-specific units or special/althistorical/occult units?

@John-Cena Generally, the techs will be focused on the ww2 timeframe. There will be nation specific units and some of those are highlighted in this thread. There won't be any completely ahistorical units as this is meant to closely represent ww2.

@John-Cena The game is intended to be exclusively a WW II scenario. And while there will be special units for each nation... they are meant to be very historically based.
As @redrum has mentioned... we are using a WW I scenario right now to develop and test some of the concepts proposed in this thread. Some of the other things planned for this map are as of yet not implemented in the engine.

@Hepps Would it be possible to include tanks, planes, ships etc that were only produced in small numbers or were in development/phasing in around the end of WW2? Would it be possible to add in a tech tree (e.g. more advanced tanks and ships, jet aircraft, guided missiles, tactical nukes, etc.)?

@John-Cena The tech tree is planned to even more ambitious than TWW and there will be even more new units to unlock. That being said, I doubt that nukes will be included. I don't really like the idea of a long game being ended with a single unit.

@Hepps I have seen some maps with some different special units that look like they would add to the game, such as the kamikaze unit from the 'Hearts of Iron' map, which is a Japanese fighter that has the same attack and range of a normal fighter, but costs a lot less and has 0 defense.

@ghostronin I think we are much closer to Power of Politics being in beta than GD. Unless @Hepps is working on this without my knowledge, I don't think much progress has been made recently.

@ghostronin Hi, unfortunately as @redrum points out work on pretty much all Triple A projects has ground to a halt for me. I have been so busy that I scarcely have 10 minutes each day to swing by the forums to see what people are chatting about.
I desperately hope to get back to having some time, but I don't know when that will be.
