Save file name for v2.0+ is not related to game name
-
Hello,
In versions prior to v2.0, the default save name for email/forum games was triplea_<forum-id-#>_<country><turn#>.tsvg. This was very useful when you are playing multiple games online. I can quickly sort through the downloads and find the game I want.I'm using v2.0 build 19942, and the save games are saved as triplea<some-long-integer-id>.tsvg. The integer-ids of save files within the same game are not related. i.e. Russian T1= triplea<long-int>.tsvg and Japan T1 = triplea<another-long-int>.tsvg where none of the id is similar.
Ideally, you would revert to the old way of naming, as I'm not familiar with the history of why it changed. But could you set some number of characters = game specific id, so that a script could be run and find/group downloaded games appropriately?
For reference, I used the attached python script to gaither my games and save them in separate directories according to game id. I changed the suffix to .txt to allow it to post.TripleA-sorter.txt

@Jim-Parker I have noticed just the same and just created a Github-issue when I remembered your posting:

@Panther Thanks for posting this in the GitHub repository. Maybe we'll get some resolution. I would think it is a quick change.
