I would like to hand over the map to anyone who is interested in modding or uploading it to the github. If you are going to modift or uploading please keep the original xml inside and modify over your new xml.

      • The game has random but calculated random set up feature to make each playing experience unique. If modders like it but also wants it to make more balanced then you could use both fixed and random features. For example there will be always minimum 4 conscripts in Petersburg despite the feature.

      • Currently there is no air unit because I think A&A's aaGun's simply do not work in bigger maps. I believe they need AoE effect and new cost value in bigger maps.

It'd be good to include some more info on the current state of the map, how playable it is, what work remains to be done, any notable problems, etc. I looked at the prior aggression thread, and didn't see any clear or up to date info on those, though perhaps I missed it or there was another thread.

@schulz Why not uploading it to GitHub at its current state with a mention that anyone should be free to take ownership of it? Since GitHub keeps all the history, there won't be the need of adding that annoying clause of keeping the original. Just saying.

You quitting TripleA completely, only map-making or just this map?

By the way, that link you provided will become broken soon (unless sendspace now keeps it up for longer than I recall).

@cernel It is not balanced and there is no way I can do it alone for such a big map. It makes more sense to upload it after achieving a relatively balanced game.

Keeping the rules in the original xml will provide a guidance to mapmakers who wants to incorporate its features to another maps. They could still create a totally new game by using new xml.

@schulz FWIW, maps do not need to be complete before upload. The 'experimental' category is there for such a reason. Cernel made an excellent point that once uploaded any changes are tracked. Second to this, once uploaded it can be a more collaborative effort and you can have multiple people making updates and just a 'pass-the-baton' style of ownership.

I'd be happy if someone could upload it on GitHub.
