State of the game questions

Hi all - I'm back to playing, after a long break. I really enjoy the game. Reading the forums, I get a sense that there is a core group of interested players, but development beyond 2.5.22294 is limited by financial support and time constraints. Is this correct? I'd be happy to contribute some money, but can't code at all. What does the future look like?

@martymoose hi, i am not on the tech side here but i have heard version 2.6 is getting close to release. and as any other project we can always use donations. hopefully someone else will answer this post with a better answer.

Development is generally constrained by labor. Financial contributions will never be frowned upon, that helps keeps the servers running.

@silverbullet I never answered your question. I never moved beond 1940 global house rules. That might be enough ,=motivation for me to try to figure out java for easier ways to alter starting setup
