Do I need to remake starting setups when version changes?

Playing Global 40 House Rules. I've saved a few setups during the changer turn. Do beta game updates mean I need to redo those setups, or do they get updated?

IIRC a savegame always includes the game data of the map version it was created for the first time.
So changes occurring in later map versions will be ignored. So savegames are not updated to current map/engine versions.
