French liberation rules are same as oob. So if Germany reconquers, it gets the money again.
Also, if the French Factry is damaged, France doesn't get it's 12 bucks worth of dudes until it's been repaired. Hmm ... I can't seem to find that part about the Fctry needing repaired. Pretty sure thats the case.
I'll have to look at the other site or ask the Captain to make sure.

@crockett36 Hey Crockett! I haven't yet figured out how to load the A&A G40 version that you guys are playing on so I can't view the game itself to give you advice but I think the universal thought on Allies taking France is to not do so until you believe you can hold it. Because otherwise, you are taking money away from Allies (any French territories that UK/USA has liberated such as Normandy, S. France, Morocco, Algeria would revert to French for IPC purposes. Which is then giving that money away to G if they re-capture France. I am not aware of not getting the French 12 IPC's if factory is damaged. I believe it works just like the 10 IPC's that Soviets get when Barb starts. Meaning that it's a one-time amount that you can use to put units there immediately such as infantry/arty/tank or any other combination. In short, I have never taken it unless I can hold and then capture West Germany on the next turn. If all of that is happening, very hard for Axis to avoid defeat.

Go to your downloads and extract the zip. I just extract to downloads

Then rename folder to "global_40_expansion_uhd_boxes"


Open your triplea folder

Open downloadedMaps

Make a new Folder and put it somewhere outside of downloadedMaps I'd call it "EXP 2.44" and move your current EXP map to it.

Now Copy the new map from downloads and put it in your downloadedMaps folder. Then make a new folder and put it next to your "EXP 2.44" folder and call it "EXP 2.297"
Then just delete copy and paste when you need to switch. That way you will always have a copy of our latest and 2.297
Let me know if you get stuck somewhere

A few comments while Trout getting up to speed on the map version change.
I'd suggest repairing the Hvy BB and nix the Inf. I'm guessing the Ftrs are for Spain to save a turn to Moscow. Otherwise you could total War buy but it's gonna take 3 turns to get there as is, so 4 might be too late.
I'm guessing the S FRA attack is to soften up for the Tommies to finish off and the Bmbrs in ARCH to keep Urals safe.
You've already moved American Air to E Russia. The Fleet to Guam will most likely invite a Giant Naval Battle with IJN.
That could go either way. Big battles, especially Naval can be swingy and dicey.
Idk. Not really much to say other than repair the BB

Something to think about. As long as the Reich controls S Italy, It gets Italian Objectives.Espana is obviously more important though, so it'll be key to kill S FRA. Probably can't do both but something to remember for the future.
The Italian Objective is only 3 bucks right now, so not a biggie.

For to how many German units can hit Moscow in two turns. I'm thinking 35-40. If he Total War Bmbr builds maybe a few more but he still needs to deal with w/e the blokes throw at him in Caucasus/Turkey.Plus the FlakTower makes Hvy Air attack a risky proposition. Forming 2nd Tank which can be active the same time as 1st Tank will make a big impact too.
Moscow probably relatively safe for now. A German breakout, especially to the South towards ME might be a bigger issue.

Remember the 3 Air LL and UK Rail. The Turkey Ftr can make Moscow and the 2 in Egypt Caucasus or Stalingrad.Tommie Tank can block in Turkey and rail can cork him in Rostov and Tambov. That keeps Stalingrad safe for another rd.

yea as long as none of the Allied aircraft take part in combat operations the turn before they switch to LL and they are in a original soviet TTy, then russia can buy up to 3 AirLL tokens and place them in 1st place phase, similar to repair Cvs.
Then at start of CM use edit to switch to soviet units so they are good to go that turn

US and UK have little LL dots that you can use if you want. Place them with edit at the end of your turn. There isn't a Strat Bmbr one. Just use Tac.Or simply make a comment in your post stating which units are LL

@crockett36 Hey all! Was able to get the map downloaded successfully. Thx Beelee for that. You guys have a wild game going on and I don't have much time as I will be unplugging later today and not back online for Triple A until a week from now but a few thoughts:
- Not sure I understand why some neutrals are still neutral. I thought all neutrals joined the other side (except Mongolia) whenever one side attacked them.
- Allies in a good position in the Pacific and the Med. But Russia is on the ropes.
- Additionally, Axis in a good position to move down into ME
- So Crockett, some thoughts strategically as I don't have time to think tactically yet about it. Because it's not obvious what the best next move is - so I agree with you on that.
a. I would pull back from Guam as you don't have a clear advantage in a big naval tussle and overall Pacific in good position, so no need to jeopardize that.
b. On other side of the board, maybe have UK/USA focus on ME defense to help the Soviets as they have their hands full trying to stay alive right now. In addition to keeping up the pressure in French territories.
c. Would not take France so as to not lose the income from French territories.
Can invest more brain cells into this when I come back from vacay with wifey & kiddos. Happy Summer everyone.

Only seen it used a couple times but it worked pretty good. You just have to be very deliberate to make sure everything ends up where it's supposed too.
Personally, I've never seen a lot of use for it but then I've never really planned for it either.
Usually US can land and then UK just reinforces as they normally would.
If facing a huge Force in Normandy or HOL, I guess it might be worthh the hassle.
