Yea the wheel thingys are Rail units courteous of Hepps. Click on them and move to where the unit you want to move is and then click on the unit you want to move as well as the rail and you can then move to where you want to go.

Player Enforced movement as triplea will allow you to move through Territories you didn't control at the beginning of your turn.

@beelee Read that but still not much answers for what I need so I will ask you:

1. Do planes attack ships?

2. Are bombers still one of the best units or are they nerfed in this game as they are in other tripleA games?

3. What is with the cool pictures and boxes up top?

4. What happened to getting free painted game pieces?

@beelee ok so I ran the USA and China and not sure if I was supposed to break there but that would make little sense so I kept at it with the Brits.

All looked good until I see I bought two forts that could not place. I placed the 3 land mines in India and will have to use the editor later to active them I guess.

My battleship got repaired and I decided to wipe out the German fleet. Of course it wants to know if you want to scramble planes.

This is so confusing mate. Do MANY people really play this way ? I would think it too tedious. I love it tho... but still I am guessing it take months to finish a game. lol

Yea planes attack ships oob mode. Still need a DD present for them to hit Subs/U-boats

Bmbrs still good and they're cheaper. However pretty much everything else is too I always find the need for bullet stoppers, as my Alaska buddy referred to himself before he deployed aka cannon fodder, a big need.

Yea the Boxes are for the Corps and Armies as well as the Army Groups. The TimeTable shows when special units and availabilities come into play. There is also a Notification that fires when new units become available as well.

Idk. I saw you posted at the other site. The captain will have to update you on that

It's a complex game and even more so complex mod.

It's not for everyone

heh heh yea usually can't place anything first place unless you are the reich. They got the most special shit because the mod was made by a european lol

At any rate. UK can't place there 2 Bmbrs in first place and use them to attack the Kriegsmarine

So official is when you start the game in pbem mode. You will see "Dice Server On" lower right and the end of a players turn will have the Turn Summary option come up.

In "Local Mode" that won't happen. That's why you want to do your test turn in Local Mode. Then when you are happy with it, you go to PBEM and fire it up for real

It's how all forum/pbem players play

@beelee ok well like you said this is just a test. But what is this about not being able to purchase and use 2 bombers?

I have a suggestion: Let me just play this entire turn 1 like I know what I am doing and then let's talk about it after the turn is complete, trash this game and try again.

I am happy to talk on a phone as well since all this open-post-to-a-forum stuff seems less efficient.

Game save UK 1: Summary wiped out the usual targets in the North Sea, took some Afrika stuff, started laying the first 3 of 999 land mines in India, repaired a battleship, only to likely lose it, and paid for two fortifications that I cannot use.

Yea you just rock on to UK. Game will add all the moves together for the summary. So don't stop after china or ANZAC either.

This just a test game for you to understand the mechanics of how triplea does the mod. There is a lot of edit involved compared to a regular Out Of Box Global 1940 game.

It plays more like a tabletop face to face game as in the players need to enforce the rules themselves

This is the first I ever heard of rules for this particular game. So THANK YOU. See what I mean about it all being a tad overwhelming? I just started playing the thing after I was went through playing all those other maps/games last year when I first met you guys.

Speaking of which : what ever happened with that other game I was playing last year that had rules like bombers could not hit ships? It had good graphics but was still rather simple when compared to this one.

@beelee I mean why are there naval mines in India in the standard default game setup? why are naval mines depicted on land? shouldn't they be in the water? Even the fix-a-battleship cash has to be placed in the water so why not naval mines?

you buy them in your Capital and then load them on a Escort. Edit is involved.

Hmm ... I don't see any Naval Mines in India with your most recent save.

Anyway, no Naval Mines place by default at game start or any other tyime during the game.

You must buy them and place according to the Game Notes
