changing where excess units display
-
I thought I saw somewhere this is discussed but ...?
Anyway I have this:
Would like to lower the horizontal black line of dudes so they go through Switzerland. Not sure how to do it.
-
@beelee
I think the lines appears wherever the last unit placement is. So it takes the coordinate of the last unit in line (in this case its the dock) and then places to the right.So if you reo-rder the coordinates in the place file, it might do something. I would try that
-
@crazyg hey cool Thank You
-
@beelee Are you saying you want the units to extend off to the right in a lower position that they currently are?
-
@hepps hi heppster
yea lower so they're not over the top of west Germany in this case
-
@beelee Yah so you have to run a manual placement picker for the territory.
The units will then extend off to the right of the last placement within the territory. So where ever you put that last placement when you are doing it.... is where all the excess units will start from.
-
@hepps thanks bro I'll try and figure it out Not real good with the map part of stuff
-
@beelee I can walk you through it if you are struggling.... I had to do it for like half the territories in TWW so that there wouldn't be extension bars running through the middle of every territory.
the Auto placement picker does a piss poor job of it.
-
@beelee Here is an example of how I plan my placements when I have problematic territories...
I tend to always try to make the extension bar always run through the border of the neighboring territory so that it is unlikely to run through the placements of the neighboring territory.
-
@hepps heh heh heh
Let me know when is a convenient time for you. I've changed victory cities location and seems like something else
The coordinates.
Never had much luck with the picker but haven't tried in a few years -
@beelee The manual placement picker is very cumbersome to work with. But on bright side your only doing switzerland. Good luck.
