Prevent units showing in unit help?
-
Is there a way to prevent units from showing up in the unit help window?
In some of my maps there are a lot of unique, on-map and non-buildable units, and they all show up in the help window and flood the unit list, making it confusing. Also all "units" placed on map are not necessarily part of the player's units. They can be symbols, units showing info or units setting/triggering map conditions, and a mapmaker would perhaps not want them to show in the unit help list.
Is this currently possible? I noticed that there seems to be a way to prevent units being graphically drawn/represented on map, so maybe the same feature allowed for hiding units from help menu?

@Frostion Not currently. This was something that came up when I added the ability to not draw units on the map.

@Frostion I suggest that if the tooltip is customized but left empty (or "NONE", but I prefer empty), then you will never have the tooltip and the unit won't figure in Unit Help. Like it works for the tech tab.

Should we make this into a feature request? I can imagine that a way to prevent units showing in the unit help could be useful on many maps, where it could clean up the unit help lists.
I would think that a method similar to the way units are made un-shown is a good way to implement it? What do you guys think?
Or as @Cernel mentions it could be controlled via the tooltip file?

@Frostion Yeah, I'd recommend making this a feature request and if you have preferences/thoughts on how best to implement it feel free to add those.

Is this a step for fog of war feature just wondering.

I moved this to "ideas and feature requests" and made a request at GitHub.
