[Fixed] 1st time play - error message

PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

We trying to set up a new game, newbies. We both have registered our gmail emails with the dice but get this error message.

Anyone knows how to fix? Thanks.

Which OS are you on?
Have you installed the latest TripleA stable and the latest Java 8 (Update 211 as of now)?

Please do this:
-Start TripleA
-Start a Local Game (any will do)
-When the game has started find the Menu Debug and then click Show Console
-When the Console has opened, click the button Properties
-Then click Copy to Clipboard
-Paste in this thread

Using Windows10 and Jav 8 is installed.
Debug box is empty for the local game. Maybe the issue is with the settings of my friend/opponent?

@angrybirdy1942 The problem is that TripleA is using an old Java version on your system:
java.home=c:\program files\common files\i4j_jres\1.8.0_66. As long as you already installed the latest Java 8 then I'd recommend the following:

Uninstall TripleA
Delete old Java folder (c:\program files\common files\i4j_jres\1.8.0_66)
Re-install TripleA

Your TripleA still uses an outdated Java version that had been bundled with a very old installer despite you installed the latest Java. Now you need to manually remove that old version, as this version has outdated security certificates.

Please browse to

c:\program files\common files\i4j_jres\

and delete the folder "i4j_jres" and its subfolders manually.
It is the here included old Java 1.8.0_66 that causes your trouble.

Then try to use the dice server again.
You might need to reinstall TripleA to get it running.
