Contributor License Agreement

Does anybody know what this is about ? Don't see anything on here about it. Never heard of it until I updated map yaml on git. Read the link. Seems leaglese. Is this actually required ? If so, why wasn't it before ? What changed ?

Yes, eventually something similar will/should be rolled out for maps themselves. The license essentially says that your contributions are under GPLv3. The map repo's and the game engine and its config are slightly different. For now it's implicit that the maps are either GPLv3 or creative commons, it's something to be clarified for sure.

@beelee To give some historical context:
With this CLA we contributors basically agree to "donate" their code to TripleA under the terms of GPLv3 or later, so they can't later claim it as their own copyright and demand the code being removed from the project.
It's basically some sort of insurance for us so we don't get screwed over by some random contributor -
