Hi all. I used to play TripleA a lot for many years. Laptop broke, lost my old login information and just created a new account.

I have a Mac. I tried installing TripleA but I cannot do so. I get the following error each time I try:

"TripleA Installer can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information. This item is on the disk image "TripleA_2.5.22294_macos.dmg". Chrome downloaded this disk image today at 11:54 AM."

This error pops up when I double click on the installer. So basically I am able to download the installer but I cannot actually install TripleA itself. This is the same error I get whether I download from either of these two locations:

      1. https://github.com/orgs/triplea-game/projects/2

      2. https://triplea-game.org/download/

I tried downloading both the 2.5 version and the 2.6 version, and I get same error both times.

Anyone know why this error is happening? What should I do differently to successfully download one of the versions of TripleA please? Would really appreciate any help. Thank you!

Looks like this might be the thing to do:

In the Finder on your Mac, locate the app you want to open.

Don’t use Launchpad to locate the app.

Control-click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu.

        Click Open.
