I want to use Linux, but I have found myself using Windows for TripleA, because of several issues. But now there is only one issue left. It is the font used outside of the actual game graphics. I have had the source code searched and found that the font mentioned is Arial, which is a Microsoft proprietary, but available on the Internet. It is thus not a part of Linux. But I have installed it. But still the font used outside the actual game graphics is much poorer in Linux than it is in Windows. I hope that the solution is that I will get an answer here to what font I need to install. Because if the source code is the same it must be that Linux is looking for a font to give TripleA that is not available, and thus gives it a pretty useless font instead. Or am I all wrong about this? What font is called upon to be used in TripleA outside of the actual game graphics? that means in the information field to the right, and the history field to the left, of the game graphics, the lobby, the start window and the battle calculator.

I don't use Linux, so I can't be sure. Doing a search turns up 'Wine fonts" and "ttf-ms-fonts". Sorry I could not be any more helpful.

        Cheers...

@wc_sumpton What search did you do to find an indication of fonts used? Maybe I could build on that to narrow down the field more.

Almost all of the "Look and Feel" start with "Substance" and they all have the same poor font in my Linux system. There is one which uses a better font, named "Metal", but it turns the background white. There is a font called "Metal", but that is not installed on my system either. There is a font called "Substance" and it costs $24. But if I buy that I do not know whether it solves the situation of not. Is it really true that TripleA has made itself dependent on a font that costs $24 to look good? I can not find the font "Substance" in my Windows. Please can someone shed some light upon this topic?

@kjrnorway most likely if a certain font is requested and not available, then the application will fall-back to using a system default font.
